Which Destruction albums don't you have?

Apocalyptic Raids 04-10-2006 12:15 AM

Everything pre-RFA :(:(

I've been looking to buy them but they're never in store here.

I've got Live Without Sense, so I've got an idea what they sound like.

FatalEnergy 04-10-2006 12:22 AM

The production on Live Without Sense helps the Pre-RFA songs a lot, but there's quite a few essential early songs that weren't on Live Without Sense like Total Desaster, Confused Mind, and The Ritual. I would recommend getting Infernal Overkill/Sentence of Death EP first, they usually come together. I hardly ever complain about production, but on Infernal Overkill the production seriously blows. That way when you get Eternal Devestation/Mad Butcher EP the production is better and stuff. I did the opposite and got ED/MBEP first so when I got IO/SoDEP I didn't appreciate it as much. Both are killer though. I had to order all of my Destruction albums, except for Inventor of Evil, because no one carries them around here. They would rather stock up on Slipknot albums.......fags!

Apocalyptic Raids 04-10-2006 12:31 AM

Yeah, here they used to always have The Antichrist, but now the Destruction section is always empty.

Freezing Moon 04-10-2006 12:46 AM

At least you have a Destruction section!

FatalEnergy 04-10-2006 12:49 AM

I saw Seven Churches at the mall the other day. That was really strange, but nice to see.

Apocalyptic Raids 04-10-2006 12:53 AM

Yeah, the place I shop at has had Seven Churches in stock for the last month. \m/

FatalEnergy 04-10-2006 01:01 AM

I feel as if I'm the only one on the planet that likes Beyond the Gates more than Seven Churches

NP: Possessed - The Heretic

Apocalyptic Raids 04-10-2006 01:05 AM

I've honestly never paid a whole lot of attention to Beyond The Gates.

metal-militia 04-10-2006 05:34 AM
I feel as if I'm the only one on the planet that likes Beyond the Gates more than Seven Churches

 Blasphemy!

I got Beyond the Gates and Seven Churches from shops around here.

Apocalyptic Raids 04-10-2006 06:12 AM

So I got the Vio-lence live album. Man it owns, It's good to be able to hear the drums on the Eternal Nightmare songs, Strickland's drumming is really good on that album you just can't really hear the details :(

Shred Danson 04-10-2006 09:09 AM
At least you have a Destruction section!
onetwothree!

We only have Inventor of Evil here.

Apocalyptic Raids 04-10-2006 09:18 AM

I haven't heard Inventor Of Evil yet. Is it good?

Shred Danson 04-10-2006 09:41 AM

It is pretty good. In a new kinda way, I guess.

Apocalyptic Raids 04-10-2006 09:44 AM

ohhh, nice avatar. My favourite Death

LEPROSY WILL TAKE CONTROL AND BRING YOU TO YOUR DEATH
NO CHANCE OF A NORMAL LIFE TO LIVE JUST LIKE THE REST

\m/

Shred Danson 04-10-2006 09:45 AM

hell yeah man!

Apocalyptic Raids 04-10-2006 09:47 AM

Later Death can suck my balls :-D

Shred Danson 04-10-2006 12:17 PM

I don't know you anymore.

metal-militia 04-10-2006 04:28 PM

If you don't love Zombie ritual then you're dead inside.

Freezing Moon 04-10-2006 04:33 PM
Later Death can suck my balls :-D
Mine too, there are only two Death albums, and the demos. Those two are Scream Bloody Gore and Leprosy. Everything else is unimportant and irrelevant. :)

FatalEnergy 04-10-2006 09:47 PM

I like some later Death :upset:

I prefer the old school stuff though.

GenuineImitation 04-10-2006 09:59 PM

I want to get into more thrash. This is what I listen to now on a regular basis:

Megadeth
Slayer
Testament
Overkill
Metallica (old)
Anthrax
Exodus
Destroyer 666
Dekapitator
Vio-Lence
Sodom
Nuclear Assault

What are some bands similar or better than these?

Apocalyptic Raids 04-10-2006 10:03 PM

Dark Angel
Sadus
early Sepultura
Aura Noir
Destruction
Kreator
Razor
Destruktor
Exhorder
Hobbs' Angel Of Death
Artillery
Municipal Waste
S.O.D.

GenuineImitation 04-10-2006 10:06 PM

I forgot to put Dark Angel on my list, but I'll check out the other bands.

Thanks dude.

Apocalyptic Raids 04-12-2006 07:27 AM

Which Necronomicon should I get?

NP: Exumer - A Mortal In Black. Ehh.. I've tried to get into this album but there is nothing here that really keeps me coming back.

Bazarov 04-12-2006 02:53 PM

This Slaughter Lord you gave me is awesome. I've listened to the album about 3 times, but now I guess something's clicked and I'm really liking them.

ForThePunx76 04-12-2006 02:59 PM

bonded by bloooood!

Bazarov 04-12-2006 03:11 PM

Exodus is awesome. I've been curious about Shovel Headed Killing Machine.

Excellent choice, young Jono.

Apocalyptic Raids 04-12-2006 08:33 PM

Hobbs wins, cause he is mighty old and probably drinks VB on a regular occasion.

<3 andy.

From what I heard SKHM wasn't too bad.

and yeah, Slaughter Lord is good, though the production can be annoying.

DimebagDarrell 04-14-2006 01:26 PM

i have the new exodus and i like it well its better then inventor of evil for sure. As with death the earlier stuff is definately better but i also like some ofthe older stuff too
its better then inventor of evil for sure
Bah.

Ist Nein Kreig 04-14-2006 10:00 PM

Is Jester Beast good.

Apocalyptic Raids 04-14-2006 11:46 PM

Nice avatar ICB \m/

never heard any Jester Beast.

DimebagDarrell 04-16-2006 06:59 AM

I will be totally honest with you...im not a big destruction fan at all they have some good tunes but im not really massively into any of their stuff, having said that though the antichrist is a good album. Inventor of evil though is pretty poor if you ask me soul collector kicks *** but part from that its quite average that alliance of hellhoundz is absolute bollocks.

Cant wait to hear people's reactions to this :p

Apocalyptic Raids 04-16-2006 07:04 AM

:p

I like Release From Agony, Live Without Sense and The Antichrist alot. I haven't heard much else. I like them.

Sodom are better though.

Apocalyptic Raids 04-18-2006 08:34 PM

CaptainWaits 04-18-2006 08:38 PM

Haven't posted in the Thrash thread in ages....

But anyways, I've recently been listening to some Ulyssess Siren. Pretty sweet shit so far :). And yeh, Overkill still owns the Thrash scene IMO.
