lots of walking around commenced today. ucla has a very nice campus. it was very warm though.
and there were only a few booths with fans in it but still totally worth it purchases: the best australian stories of 2004 - 2 dollars before gatsby: the first twenty-six short stories by f scott fitzgerald - 3 dollars the amazing adventures of kavalier and clay - 7. 50 we missed the comic panel in the morning, but ray bradbury WAS A ****ING CRAZY OLD MAN. I LOVED IT. his whole presentation was about how love creates works of art and good literature and that everything that's good in the world is based on love. he told us that he wrote fahrenheit 451 in the basement of the library across the way, which was pretty cool. he also described the process of writing the martian chronicles and something wicked this way comes. he's a really interesting guy. and he had all these weird old-man anecdotes. it kind of reminded me of the movie big fish. except with less bombastic emphasis on weird ****. all in all, pretty solid day. |
porn is great discussion.

Well both Children of Men and Minority Report were good. Win.
Haven't watched Snatch yet. |
Snatch is solid. Kinda like a toned down spiritual sequel to Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels.
Speaking of which, I just watched The Bank Job. Surprisingly solid. Made a post on my blog about Say Anything (band) and used a poster for the movie (Say Anything), which I haven't actually seen yet, which I'm told is lame on my part. |
I have LSTSB and I quite enjoy it so I imagine I'll like it.
What's the bank job? |
Bank Job is a heist film starring Jason Statham and a bunch o' brits.
Kinda reminded me of "Inside Man", actually. Sort of like if you mixed that flick with Lock, Stock. |
Hmm. Inside Man was intriguing to watch. /wikis
I have to love that Jason Statham is like the most 1 dimensional actor ever...but he plays it so well. |
Yeah he does play the part well enough for me not to care. It's funny when you sit and realize almost all of his movies are heist flicks though.
|
Almost? I can't think of anything else he's done period hah.
Also,
The Bank Job is a 2008 crime film based on a 1971 true-life robbery of a bank in Baker Street, London, from which the money and valuables stolen were never recovered. The story was prevented from being told because of a D-Notice government gagging request, allegedly to protect a prominent member of the British Royal Family.[3][4] According to the producers, this movie is intended to reveal the truth for the first time,[5] although it includes significant elements of fiction and the extent to which it represents historical fact is difficult to determine.
srsly? lol awesome |
