Liebensaft 01-18-2008 11:39 PM

Jesus, god, what a disgrace to the pokemon COMMUNITY.

Bordello 01-19-2008 12:28 AM

Faggots at RYM decide to ban me for no reason.

pulseczar 01-19-2008 12:44 AM

they know you called me a fatass and how it hindered my positive self-image

dei 01-19-2008 01:14 AM

I've never been to RYM. What's that about?

asdf 01-19-2008 01:16 AM

Rating your music.

dei 01-19-2008 01:21 AM

Lame.

Robert Crumb 01-19-2008 01:33 AM

But rating your music has never been easier!

OMG! i found a professionally-written review for Rodan's Rusty. finally someone with writing skill has described this album so i dont have to keep doing it :D

http://www.stylusmagazine.com/articles/on_second_thought/rodan-rusty.htm

i dont know a lot about Stylus, might be a Pitchfork clone? who cares, this article is good.

edit: also this http://www.stylusmagazine.com/articles/on_second_thought/the-jesus-lizard-liar.htm

pixiesfanyo 01-19-2008 03:23 AM

this whole Second Thoughts feature is amazingly awesome.

Apocalyptic Raids 01-19-2008 06:14 AM

definitely convinced me to look into Rodan.

Neoteric 01-19-2008 06:19 AM

I'm not going to look into Rodan because YDload likes them.

niobium 01-19-2008 11:24 AM

rodan is good though. but i like a minor forest more.

dei 01-19-2008 11:25 AM

I like A Minor Forest.

Thanks 01-19-2008 11:50 AM

I'm going to listen to Rusty right now for the first time in years.

Mahavidya 01-19-2008 11:55 AM

i deleted just about everything on my computer

Kayetan 01-19-2008 12:21 PM

Anxious 01-19-2008 01:32 PM

Rusty is a nice album.

YDload 01-19-2008 01:58 PM

There are hundreds more reviews in that "On Second Thought" archive. Lots of good albums.

My cd player in my car decided to stop working, just before I have a 3 hour drive back down south to my mum's for my birthday in a week. Hopefully I'll have it sorted by then. :(

Time 01-19-2008 02:42 PM

I went to Crooked Beat today with some of my Christmas money but they didn't have DNOTD which was what I wanted the most. I still got Ocean Beach and Rust Never Sleeps though and they are sounding good.

YDload 01-19-2008 02:49 PM

Crooked Beat's the shit

Time 01-19-2008 02:51 PM

most definitely. The other record store right next to it is pretty good too.

YDload 01-19-2008 02:57 PM

do you go there from the Adams-Morgan metro station? cause when you walk across that huge bridge and past the rowhouses on Calvert Street, one of the houses is where Minor Threat played their first show.

Time 01-19-2008 03:07 PM

Yeah I go from the metro and I walked on that bridge. Thats pretty awesome about Minor Threat

Liebensaft 01-19-2008 04:32 PM

I saw Ian Mackaye punch a guy at a Minor Threat show. A video of that happening, I mean.

Anxious 01-19-2008 04:38 PM

Drugz r bad but violence is peachy.

poopie 01-19-2008 04:41 PM

yea haha... is ian mackaye a vegan or anything?

Liebensaft 01-19-2008 04:43 PM

Doubt it. Just a tough guy.

YDload 01-19-2008 04:49 PM

no he USED to love moshing when he was in Minor Threat (and the fighting was mostly in self-defense), but got tired of it by the time Fugazi came around

and yeah he's a vegetarian

poopie 01-19-2008 04:58 PM

yea i heard he would get pissed at people moshing at fugazi concerts

Aeaon 01-19-2008 05:07 PM

I love this video, and he's right. Emo is a stupid label for music.

okay 01-19-2008 06:32 PM

it's called emotional hardcore, asshole

Aeaon 01-19-2008 07:14 PM

You know Ian is right. Dumb terms like "grunge" and "emo" can lick my ass for all I care, and it makes me REALLY mad when people have to dwell into it. Why should those words be associated with music? It's cool to label something by a particular name just to sound smart like you're some sort of elitist? No, it's not, and you can learn if you JUST ACCEPT THAT LABELING MUSIC IS STUPID. Ian was right about what he said you know.

Zmev 01-19-2008 07:27 PM

yeah RA RA RA RAA
