yeah i made the mistake of going just as heavy on legs as upper body. i got to the point where i was leg pressing 750lbs. (plus multiple other leg workouts and squats and whatnot) which is great bc my legs are raw as **** now but a few weeks ago i had to nearly start over on my running because my legs were starting to get SUPER sore. now i stick to just leg pressing about 300 and have gotten my running back up to 2 miles in under 13 minutes.

are you using that workout i sent you at all?

ive never worked my abs but my leg and back muscles are surprisingly strong


i found out today that if i run with my head aimed just below a girl's bum i can pick them up with my back muscles and carry them around


but then she hit her head on the doorframe and was very upset with me :(

im probably totally lacking context, but I feel like working your legs hard is really important, even if you're wanting to stay fast. i squat, deadlift, and power clean heavy even when in season and i get faster as i get stronger. its fine as long as you focus on power and strength (low reps, high weight, explosive movements) rather than getting bulky with a hypertrophy routine and less functional exercises like leg presses

it depends on what youre doin bro. im not trying to be a powerlifter, im more worried about endurance than strength (the lord satan has just blessed me with incredible strength in the process). im going into spec ops so pure strength is of no matter to me, im more worried about full speed running for more than a mile, fast paced jogging for over an hour, and being able to handle physical activities for entire days.

its def important to work the legs and i would suggest that austin work his, but when running is honestly the more important exercise, its not good to go heavy. when i got to pressing 750 the strain on my quads was incredible and i was not able to run at full strength until after a week or two of going easy on them. i just work with light weights on my legs now to keep them where theyre at.

yeah that makes sense then, i was thinking more in line with how you'd train for a typical sport which obviously wouldn't apply at all to your situation. sounds like you know what you're doing, good luck with your training man

yeah im really dedicated to this, ive been researching everything and working out heavily for most of the year. preciate it man.

I was at Taco Bell last week and got that black jack box or whatever its called. The sauce on it is pretty good.
