Read the past 3 pages for my position on the topic. Obituary is horribly generic, bland as hell, musically untalented and can't write more than one type of song.

Do you know why Cause of Death and Slowly We Rot are the only Obituary albums anyone cares about? Not because they're the best, but because they repeated the [b]same exact thing[/b] for 20 years after that. And the worst part is they aren't even good at what they do.

The End Complete is alright. i don't know why you're going into butthurt mode. Cause of Death and SWR have managed to make a lasting impression for almost 20 years. Behemoth will phase out in 2years or less.

Bands like Death, Immolation, Dismember and Morbid Angel have made a lasting impression. I'm convinced that no one actually likes Obituary except some idiot who managed to get everyone else to pretend they like it. They just rode on the success of the aforementioned bands I think.

And Behemoth will probably be around for a while.

Obituary was great. They arent anymore. I'd rather listen to bland Behemoth than bland new Obituary because at least I can make fun of Behemoth.

Hey lol, you know Behemoth is so innovative and original. OMG we wear corpse paint and are Br00tal!!! Obituary is original, just deal with it, they have an incredibly awesome sound with perfect vocals. You don't have to like it but saying is Obituary is less creative and innovative than Behemoth is like saying Darkthrone are unoriginal and Dark Funeral are much more innovative. Sorry but you crossed the line sir! :evil:

Well, Obituary was sort of original. They're not very good anymore.

Well he said that Cause of Death and Slowly We Rot were just albums that got famous from other DM bands, I mean say whatever you want about the new stuff but the old stuff is classic! And wasn't the same song over and over again.

It was pretty similar stuff, I'll give him that. The idea that it fed off the success is a pretty stupid thing to say but then again it's masscows.

I think when he said Behemoth are more musically talented, he meant in a purely technical sense.
