Ah, I remember the days when I used to referee 'Soccer' Matches.
I once got hit in the stomach by the ball.
It really hurt.

I suppose it's the guy's fault for not e-mailing you.

I must go practice keyboard.

Goodbye.

Well,y voice is officially shot after las night's soccer game (girl's varsity playoff game, my girlfriend's a forward). It was an away game but we had a TON of fans there. Our school has about 280 kids in it, and there were about 50-60 kids at the game last night, that's not including parents and teachers. We had significantly more fans than the home team, it was pretty sweet. Their school is about 7 times larger than ours, so it's almost sad that we had more fans.

We did a great job of cheering them, we almost got kicked out though. The bleachers were raised up, and then there was a fence keeping us from the field/ground. So one of my friends jumped the fence, but was caught by this lady, and she escorted him back. Another one of my friends, while she was escorting the first guy back, jumped the fence behind her and started another wave. So she came over to us and was like, "If anyone jumps the fence again, you're ALL getting kicked out". So as she was talking, we all started a school cheer, she just got really pissed, scowled at us, and walked away.

We lost 2-1 in overtime, but we put up a hell of a fight, considering how small our school is and how young our team is (we have 3 junior high kids on our varsity team, and only 3 seniors).

Anyone ele ave experiences being soccer hooligans?

metalmilitia101 10-16-2005 02:36 PM

-TheGlassPrison- 10-16-2005 02:41 PM

Saint John's Preparatory school, it's a private Catholic school, on the campus of a liberal arts college and the largest Benedictine monastery in the world. Which is kind of inornic, considering about 25% of the school are athiest. It's an amazing school though.

Our school has a boarding program, we have kids from Germany, Austria, Mexico, Spain, Brazil, Russia, Korea, Japan, China, India, and from all over the US, girls and boys. Also from around the area, we don't ahve to dorm though.

The campus is bloody incredible, 2500 acres of woodlands, 3 lakes, and trails everywhere. The best thing is, we can go anywhere during our free time. All 2500 acres is available to us, even the lake fro swimming. Some kids keep swim suits in their lockers so they can duck down to the lake for a swim. Best part: All unsupervised.

The bulding in the middle/right is the school, the white-topped building is the dorms.

It really is, from the top of the hill (to the left of our school), you can see the lake and a ton of woods, it truly is breathtaking sometimes. A lot of times during the spring and fall our teachers ahve class outside, and inside all our windows face out towards the lake. It really does add a lot.

We also go sledding almost daily in the wniter, the hill is huge. Either that or we have snowball fights, it's pretty awesome, especially when the teachers get in on them.

It does, unfortunately, come with a 10,000 dollar price tag, but EVERYONE who needs financial aid gets it, it's not as though it's a bunch of rich kids. About 70 percent of the kids here are on financial aid. I do work study, as do a lot of people, and they award a lot of scholarships. I'm only paying about 5,000 to go there, which is pretty much exactly what my family can afford to pay. It's really nice to be in an atmosphere of rich and poor kids from all over the world (I practice my german on the Austrians all the time, I'll speak in German to them and they'll respond in English)

Drum Phil 10-16-2005 03:54 PM
