Going to two small "gatherings" of friends Confucius say: "he who goes to two parties enjoys neither" but what the hey |
Hey, 2 parties is always good...more booze?
I plan on going to my friends party and getting extremely drunk and pass out on the floor. |
Phantom Of The Opera is a top rate movie. Honestly, even if you are not a big fan of opera, you should check this movie out. It has got it all; intrigue, romance, murder, despair, humour. They've adapted it extremely well, by adding some dialouge, and modernising it somewhat. There is even an electric guitar, bass and drum portion of the main theme. However, it still retains the soul of the opera. Overall, it is an excellent cinema experience. :thumb:

The Redemption of Althalas eh? Big Dave Eddings fan right here. Read all his books twice or so. :D What other Authors/books are you into? Ive read all of Robert Jordan's (B.O.R.....zzzzzz) am currently reading Feist (up to... the Empire series) and must say he is an awesome author. As well as a lot of miscilaneous books from random authors. Fantasy owns :D |
Same! Do you see my name? HeavyRiva -> Riva Irongrip... :D
My favourite book by Eddings has to be Belgarath the Sorcerer, simply because of the scope of it. :thumb: And Robert is something of the bore. Good thing Fiest is such a good writer! Have you read any Keannely or McCaffrey? |

I quite wanted to see it, but it got a lot of really dire reviews. Yet loads of people seem to really like it as well, so I'll definately investigate it eventually. I have to work out when I'm going to fit in seeing House of Flying Daggers... |
Haha... I knew the name sounded familar but couldnt for the life of me make the connection!
Yeah, The two prequals are excellent. I'm not a big fan of the Elenium or tamuli... Kind of drawn out. The Belgariad and Malloreaon aren't really so epic, as say feist's or jordan's visions are, but they are well written and quite enjoyable. And I agree once again about Jordan. He has a great theme running, and his first novel was excellent.... But ****, he could have condensed the other 9 books into two or three. :p I love feist's writtings. I was reading them a book or so every 2 or 3 days, they were that good. That was, until i got up to the empire trilogy. Jani Wurts is next to useless, and have nooo idea why Feist wanted to write with her. Anne McDragonry? Ive read the excert from the Modern fantasy ledgends, and it was decent. But the 30 odd books with dragons on the front cover always convince me to think a second and third time. And Keannely? Never heard of him/her? What do they write about and are they worth the trip to the library or local bookshop? |

I can't stand Anne McCaffrey.

My new years plans = LAN party then campfire, hopefully with the presence of herbal therapy and tasty drinks... hint hint |
