Well I'll take those words into account while listening to U-V once its shipment arrives
When the chorus in "Kill As One" comes on, I want you to scream as high as Osegeuda (sp?) does.

CaptainWaits 07-29-2005 12:24 PM

Understood :)

On a good computer, so decided to download it.

FatalEnergy 07-29-2005 01:06 PM

Nice Avatar Animosity, I just recenyly bought that album. It's pretty cool, quite a bit of cheese, but they are cool. I really hope the Sodom/Fintroll tour makes it over to the west coast

Yes. I also just bought Jaktens Tid on Monday, and I do find the album to be an epic :) . It's what lead me to make the Folk/Viking Thread.

Dude, I think I just creamed my pants. Can't wait for it to come out. (The CD, not the stain. wait.....)

\m/

Awesome guest vocalists, as well.

Well, Shagrath I can give a crap less about, but still...

FatalEnergy 07-29-2005 03:36 PM

Yeah, very soon. I can't wait for it.....it's annoying that we all have to wait another month for it. AHHHHHHHH!! I'm going insane waiting for it. I want it now.....
Anyone got a denim vest/jacket with cool thrash patches on it?
I do. Black vest... I believe the only thrash patches are Sodom, Sacrifice, Razor, and Slaughter.

RavenousMetalist87 07-29-2005 03:59 PM

Hopefully it comes out on the 22nd like Blabbermouth stated or else I shall go on a rampage

w00t for vest and patches. That's my next life's destiny journey fulfillment (sp).

Man, I want one so bad. I've got all of these patches and nothing to put them on. :(

That Inventor Of Evil news is old news. That clip has been up for close to four months! Good song, though I wish they would stop with the polished production feel. I like my thrash gritty and crunchy!

I got a demin jacket today. w00t for Mervyns

Ryan, I didn't find the release date and track listing to be quite old news yet. Maybe Soulcollector and the Alliance of Hellhoundz, but not the rest of it. Ok I also forgot about most of the other stuff, but I saw things in there I never saw before.

For Europe, they said 15th of August, 3 days after my b-day. On there it says 22nd according to Blabbermouth. That must mean it's the rest of the world release date like it said on there site.

However, I'm going to start buying patches again and sewing them onto my new jacket and create a new one for the winter.

MAthiAS 07-29-2005 09:24 PM

What did I miss over this last week guys? RCA changed his name back I see...

RavenousMetalist87 07-29-2005 09:32 PM

Lots of interesting conversations is all I can say. Some of us were just gone for a day and when we came back, this whole thread had so many new posts.

FaceInTheSky said there was a bajillion, and Apocalyptic said this thread was moving at light speed.

So I said we'd be moving at Ridiculous Speed, then Ludocris Speed!

LUDOCRIS SPEED, GO!

Welcome back, MAthiAS!

Yeah, just a bunch of random discussion here and there, and a subtle quote-war between me and ICB. 'Twas quite fun. :D

Follow that link, and listen to the two clips there from the upcoming Megalith/Masada split LP. Good 80's speed/thrash. :thumb:

Taste_My_Scythe 07-30-2005 01:13 PM

So what Thrash should I start with? :)

RCA 07-30-2005 01:20 PM

Ok.

You liketh the punk, so I'll start you off with more punkish sounding thrash.

Nuclear Assault - Game Over
Anthrax - State Of Euphoria and Among The Living

Some crossover/thrash:

Cro-Mags - Age Of Quarrel
D.R.I. - anything

"Happier-sounding" catchy thrash:

Overkill - The Years Of Decay
Exodus - Bonded By Blood

Face-ripping poseur slaying thrash:

Dark Angel - Darkness Descends
Slayer - Hell Awaits

Technical-thrash:

Coroner - No More Color
Watchtower - Energetic Disassembly

Obscure-sounding thrash:

Mekong Delta - The Music Of Erich Zann <--I <3 this band

\\\

That should get you started. :thumb:

Pandfair 07-30-2005 01:22 PM

RCA - I listened to the Megalith clip. I quite liked it, I may try some more stuff by them. Thanks. :thumb:

Taste My Scythe - Heres a few bands to get you started. I'm sure people will put their own suggestions in. There are hundreds more, but these are easier to come across.

Megadeth
Slayer
Anthrax
Exodus
Testament
Sodom
Kreator
Destruction

Its even the basis of your username

I love listening to thrash albums that I haven't listened to for a while. The other day I threw Punishment for Decadence for a spin... I think I'm gonna have to get some tabs for Arc-Lite.
