Hahaha Woodstock, I remember when you said "I can believe this name wasn't taken!" I REMEMBER THAT MAN.

My first post was on p. 45. I started out with the ever popular, "liek OMG i'm agreeing with the first post and talking about how many people listen to classic rock now!!1~"

I was n00b.

EDIT: I didn't want to post a new spam reply. I have 2000 posts! :chug: Hooray for me! (the other smiley can be woodstock)

I was a bad noob, I just said that I liked Led Zeppelin or something like that, a long time ago.
This thread is boring.

TOPIC:

Is it wrong to listen to just Classic Rock?

My answer: yes.
None of the regulars in this thread just listen to classic rock.

If that was what you're getting at.

Against Miik! 11-24-2004 05:19 PM

Nobody listens to just classic rock. Noobs only say they do because they are hoping for acceptance. I was just listening to the blood brothers a minute ago.

thickasabrick 11-24-2004 05:26 PM
I don't think it's wrong either. After all, classic rock is better than current rock. Not saying current rock does suck. But classic rock definintely has more style and than current rock. I can tell you that.
classic rock, and current rock arent the only genres in the world....is it not possible for someone to listen to blues? or metal? need i go on?

Well I would consider both of those very similar to rock, depending the kind of stuff you listen to. If you listen to classic rock and rock along with Metallica(metal) and SRV(blues), I would hardly say you have a broad musical taste.

actually i dont think Robert Johnson(blues) is close to Classic or current rock...and i dont really listen to metal i was just using it as an example. i listen to bluegrass mostly.

but yes...i suppose SRV and Metallica aren't straying far from rock.

That's a fairly stupid thing to say. Just how much classic rock and how much current rock have you actually listened to?

MalcolmYoungRock 11-24-2004 06:28 PM

Disconnection, chill.

Look at his name.

PUNKSTER998..... he stole lunch's last 3 digits :O!

Edit: On the subject, I listen to a lot of old blues like Muddy Waters and Robert Johnson. I also listened to The Ramones while I was walking home from school.

Badmoon 11-24-2004 06:29 PM

I'm reviewin' a Blues Traveler album.

I usually do chill, but I constantly feel the need to put morons in their place.

But yeah, he's named "PUNKSTER998" and has a Nirvana avatar, so he can't possibly be the brightest bulb on the tree.

As for reviews, I've wanted to review a few Bill Hicks albums but I've never gotten around to it.

FreebirdTPM 11-24-2004 06:35 PM

Anyone have the Allman Brothers Band album Wipin' Glass Oiling Car or something like that...it's the one after Brothers & Sisters but before Enlightened Rogues...if you have it could you tell me if its anygood I need it to complete my collection...if its even worth it.

I've been meaning to get it.

I'm sure it's very good. The Allman Brothers don't make bad music.

Badmoon 11-24-2004 06:39 PM

Isn't that one on the site?

MalcolmYoungRock 11-24-2004 06:41 PM

If I get some *cough*rep*cough* I might review the first Grateful Dead ablum/ any Led Zeppelin albums that haven't been reviewed.

Badmoon 11-24-2004 06:42 PM

*Cough* I already did it, and even if I didn't, no! *cough*

FreebirdTPM 11-24-2004 06:44 PM

I checked some random site, I guess its just a live CD post-Duane and Berry. Probably pretty good has some nice songs on there, I didn't realize it was a live album I thought it was new recordings.

Damn you.

My computer's too slow to check the reviewed list.

What Zeppelin Album hasn't been reviewed?

Illmatic 11-24-2004 06:49 PM

The Song Remains The Same
BBC Sessions

That's it, I think.

BludgeonySteve 11-24-2004 06:50 PM

Pretty much.

I'm thinking about reviewing some Neil Young. But i'm very lazy.

Woodstock 11-24-2004 07:03 PM

I don't even think anyone's reviewed Harvest!

BludgeonySteve 11-24-2004 07:06 PM

Yes, Harvest has been reviewed.

I'll do either Harvest Moon or Ragged Glory.

Woodstock 11-24-2004 07:07 PM

Oh, it was reviewed. I reported under the problems that all the Neil Young reviews should be combined.

BludgeonySteve 11-24-2004 09:13 PM

Yay, rock paper scissors determines that I do it!

Now, Boston songs anyone?

gmoneyguy 11-24-2004 09:14 PM

Peace of mind
More then a Feeling

Against Miik! 11-24-2004 09:18 PM

The entire self titled album. The rest is kinda crap with a few exceptions, but every song on the first album is great.

BludgeonySteve 11-24-2004 11:14 PM

So maybe i'll just get that self-titled album. Good suggestions, guys ;)

thickasabrick 11-24-2004 11:33 PM

their debut album was the best selling debut album before nsync came out..which is upsetting. (talking about boston)

they never made it close to matching the success of their first album, but it is truly a masterpiece. their were amazing songwriters and tom scholz was a wizard in the studio. my favourite song is peace of mind. i taught myself how so sing high like them, now i have no problem overtaking robert plants vocals.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 11-25-2004 12:31 AM

is it OK to have 15 to 30 min. songs?
