There's that word again!

Wonder if Testament's comin' out with anything soon...seeing as how they're all reunited and such.
:p

I wouldn't be surprised. It'd be cool to hear Skolnick playing over a metal band again.

Meh, I dunno. He seems to really enjoy his new musical direction. I like some of his songs.

Yeah, it'd be interesting seeing him incorporate that style into some thrash riffs.

It'll give thrash a breath of fresh air, that's for sure. That is, if that happens.

It would be good. Although I think Eric Petersen does most of the riffs.

Sadly, you're correct. :(

Anyone got a denim vest/jacket with cool thrash patches on it?
I do, I have the most badass one in the land.

I have a Destruction Back Patch on it, a bunch of Megadeth and old school Anthrax ones, an Onslaught one, Skid Row one, a Slayer one, and a Kreator, a Sodom one. I probably have another little one on it that I can't think of off the top of my head

Edit: and Iron Maiden one

I only have one, but it was before I put patches on it

Patches are great fun to collect, and look awesome on the denim vest. They're like a thrasher's Pokemon cards. :D

RavenousMetalist87 07-28-2005 10:41 PM

I need to make a new one. I like my old one I made during the summer of my freshman year, but it's more "Hard Rock/General Heavy Metal".

/needs to find a demin jacket at Goodwill to tear up

Laugh at me. My parents don't have any old demin jackets they'd like to get rid of. Besides, what color matches jungle camouflage because I need something that will look good with my camouflage pants from the army shop...

Alright, I guess I gotta leave for a while. See y'alls later.

Yes they are

I still have my Pokemon cards too. I need to sell them to a card shop because they're useless to me now.

How much? I must get mine from there when I dump off a whole lot of useless clothing and junk sometime before my 18th b-day.

I need to clean out what's left of my closet.

Probably due to a subtle conversation me and ICB had in it. Go back a page and read the quote headings in each of mine and ICB's posts. ;)

I think I got mine for $6 or something, I don't remember

Oh, I looked at my denim vest just to remember what other patches I had on it and I forgot I have an Overkill one and a Helloween one too :D

Apocalyptic Raids 07-28-2005 11:59 PM

Seems Metal-Archives is down again!

I've got a zip file of all the Sadus demos which I need to sort! :( So far I haven't been able to find anywhere else with the demos listed :(
Ooh, what Death Angel albums?
The first two, which is pretty much all he needs for the thrashiest Death Angel stuff.

Is Vio-lence's Nothing To Gain a good album? I've heard it is but the production isnt too hot

It's ok. Nothing special, but certainly worth a download since it is long out of print.

Music-wise it is pretty much a progression from OTM and further from EN, with more groove type stuff.

It's ok, in fact some of the songs are quite good, but it's no Eternall Nightmare.

RCA 07-29-2005 08:33 AM

Oppressing The Masses has more variety in songwriting than Eternal Nightmare. That may sound like a good thing, but that's what brings in down a bit. Plus, the songs have a good sense of groove; there are groovish riffs there, but they don't take away from the thrash. It's a good album.

I recommend it.

CaptainWaits 07-29-2005 10:21 AM
Act III is nothing compared to The Ultra-Violence. U-V is a more straightforward thrash album with lots of riffs, where-as Act III had other musical influences in it that took away from the thrashing.

Plus, Mistress Of Pain just slays.
Well I'll take those words into account while listening to U-V once its shipment arrives
