Anyone heard of the Bees?
The Bees are so fun. Which album did your friend send you? |
90. The Worst Song Ever - Nirvana
100. I Against I - Bad Brains /bitches |
I thought you'd be against 87 mostly.
|
What. The. ****.
I didn't even see that. |
Television are considered punk?
|
im happy with number 2, I love that song.
|
It looks like a decent list, but round about #73 they ran out of good ideas and starting including crap.
|
I think it's fairly well done. A Fear song, a NoMeansNo song, a Stranglers song, and a 999 song would have been nice.
|
They didn't include The Stranglers?
|
I think Fear is actually the grossest oversight. "I Love Livin' in the City" and "New York's Alright If You Like Saxophones" are entirely classic.
|
I can understand them missing Fear from a commercial persepective (meaning they simply may not have heard them), but I was under the impression that The Stranglers were the most successful punk group of all time.
Maybe that's just the UK. |
New list to bitch about
http://www.digitaldreamdoor.com/pages/best_songs-punk.html
:speechlessness: |
My favorite local band is coming back and playing thier homecoming show in vancouver tonight after being away for like 3 months on tour.
I'm painfully excited. |
It was an okay list I guess. I don't agree with the order too much, but they have Bastards of Young, Pink Turns to Blue, and two Minutemen songs. That's pretty good I guess.
|
Wow, no "Academy Fight Song", "Peking Spring", "Progress", or "Mica" in the Top 100. Interesting.
|
You don't list which bands wrote and recorded those songs because you want us to be scratching our heads.
|
You don't list which bands wrote and recorded those songs because you want us to be scratching our heads.
That would be correct (all of them are Mission of Burma). I think you should start posting as Zappa more often though. Also, none of the Fall's music was mentioned which is odd. |
I don't like lists.
My weekend was basically filled up with Harry Potter, but I did manage to catch two utterly terrible bands on Friday night. |
I don't like lists.

Oh shi.
|
You're the second one today to encourage Zappa posting. Hmm.
|
I don't generally lump Mission of Burma or The Fall in with the sorts of bands that made that list. It was almost all '77 stuff and 80s hardcore.
|
Holy crap, the link that Zmev posted for the list has about a hundred other music-related lists underneath it.
I'm tempted to look, but then I'll just be severely angered. *looks up top 100 bassists anyway* :( |
Totally off-topic, I saw Charlie & The Chocolate Factory today.
|
I saw it yesterday. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Johnny Depp was pretty good.
