BTW, does anyone know of any unreleased songs or b-sides by 'tallica???
I never heard anything about them. |
I think that stuff is on an out of print tape called No Life Till Leather but also includes an early version of Hit The Lights. Try E- Bay.
|
'Mouldy'-Original Hero of the Day. Its on the Hero of the Day single.
And on the Japanese Outlaw Torn single, it has the full Outlaw Torn 'Breadfan'-Cover of a song by Budgie, B-Side of Eye of the Beholder 'Stone Cold Crazy'-Queen cover on the Enter Sandman B-Side I think... |
That works too.
|
hm, never heard any of those
|
Yup, no one in my school has heard eny Metallica outside St. Anger. You can imagine what they think about them.
i feel so bad for you...i hang around people who own all metallica cd's and even some vinyls :thumb: and then some who only like st anger and sandman  |
People who are judge Metallica on St. Anger and Enter Sandman have to get out more. Metallica is a very popular band, even their old stuff. You would think they'd have at least heard Master of Puppets.

or nothing else matters or ride the lightning or seek and destroy or for whom the bell tolls. those are all on the radio too |

No Life 'til Leather is a tape of Metallica demos, no covers. Hit the Lights, The Mechanix (early version of The Four Horsemen, Megadeth still play it), Motorbreath, Jump in the Fire, Seek & Destroy, Metal Milita, Phantom Lord. |
Does your guitar have 24 frets?
my jackson has 24 frets, but the bending doesn't sound great. |
I must say that my mom bought the Black Album and she played it in the car when I was like 6 that album changed me and after that I bought all the Metallica album that were out and bought all the albums that came out after that. Metallica got me into music and playing guitar bass and drums. Without Metallica I don't know who I would be. and yes I hate all those **** poser. they say "Saint Anger was the greatest album ever." well the crap they listen to it maybe and don't get me wrong the Saint Anger Album was good but for Metallica is was ****. People say that Enter the Sandman was the best song ever but for some reason I just can't like it.
Metallica's style is just to off right now. They need to fing there trueself and play like they did before the Black Album. |

"Master,
Master!" Everybody I gave Met cds to (Mostly rap lovers) hated the first 4 albums cause hetfield's voice was too "awful" and "Bad" and "High like a 6-year-old girl!" Fuckers! |

I agree.
now, this is way gonna sound stupid, but what's n00b nean? I see it all the time in this tread. |
im a drummer, and most of you people are guitarists.but from metallicas lars ulrich, the only songs i cant play are: dyers eve, fight fire with fire,st. anger, and damage inc. the only thing i dont like about lars' drumming is that he has no accentation on his hats.that bothers me.
I'm working on Nothing Else Matters and Sanitarium on guitar and One on drums
i can play one on drums. i actually have to start playing to do the double bass though. |
If you like any Song of St Anger you dont know music. Even the newbies in my country play better songs.
thats just your stupid little closed-minded opinion.in that statement, you judge practically everyone who likes metallica.i like st. anger and kill em' all. keep your closed minded opinion to yourself so i dont have to write this much. |

id buy saint anger. nut i dont know if i was doing my money justice. sure, it had some beauties (title, unnamed feeling, invisible kid), but if given the choice i just couldnt go past ride the lightning. for whom the bell tolls set the bar for bassline ingenuity in the 80's, and the various stages of style in fade to black are still reknowned in worldwide metal circles. without a doubt, no band can emulate what metallica did between their early work and their early 90 music. going from arguable the hardest band to rock the early 80's metal scene, to a band that got themselves on to mainstream radio just by music that came from the head, rather from the alcohol induced insanity that the earlier, better alubums seemed to be written with. there are few bands that really grab a metal fan by the heartstrings, but the moment that cemeted my fanatacism for the four horseman was on the DVD Cunning Stunts, listening to Nothing Else Matters hearing the crescendo of sound and the build up of, yeah, yeah , yeaaahhhhhhh then the explosion of Hetfields solo and watching the feeling that he put out in it, words do not start to describe.
Long F***ing live metallica |
also, i went into a music shop in the town i live in, (i live on that little island on the bottom of australia) and i ask about live ****, and the girl (who was **** fine) tells me that it will cost me 40 dollars deposit to get it sent from the USA, and after that it will be 240 dollars australian! fook. not a happy fan, but with exclusivity like that, makes me want to get it more. how dear is it for you guys over in the states?

Sad but true - accentation on the hats
a new guy new... n00b... no brainer
Actually thats a newb A n00b is someone who posts stupid, ignorant comments or questions and types in 1337 speak. Generally they have only 3 posts, but there's a large and important distance between a n00b and someone's who is simply new and has the potential to develop into a valued MX poster |

I once had a situation when my friend came and i had this burned Metallica disk where I had a couple if songs from St. Anger but mostly from older Cd s . then she asked me what disc is it I said."It's Metallica's" then she was excited, oh play that, I want to hear St.Anger, it's the greatest song ever...I played that to her and after St.Anger came "Ride the Lightning" she was like:"Ewww what band is this?? I hate that kind of music, put Metallica back!" After I told her it's Metallica, she hates it. ;) |
