bloody internet keeps failing


when I'm trying to upload some blaze...

So, the Party was great. I went there with a couple of my girlfriend's friends. We drank beer, and when I was drunk enough, I could go on the dance floor, rocking out to songs like 'London Calling', 'The Seed 2.0', 'One', 'No One Knows', 'Killing in the Name', and more.

Also, when I was drunk enough, I forsook my own English and started speaking BBC English to my girlfriend. :\ Either that or really accented Flemish, I didn't feel like talking normally at the time. :lol:

Then we took a Taxi, her dad had given money for it, I had never been in a Taxi because they're so expensive. It was cool, then I slept at her house. :cool:

I saw Lords of Dogtown last night. I myself thought it was a good movie, and from the books I've read about the early skate scene it portrayed that point in time really good. Most notable thing about that movie was its soundtrack; it was excellent.

It was a fictional interpretation based on actual supposed "confessions" written by Nat Turner, who was the only man to lead a successful slave revolt in the history of the United States before the Civil War. It's an important book because it does represent a game attempt to describe the conditions under slavery and does it very well in some instances, and also I think the uproar surrounding it is a little messed up because, after all, it's not as if slaves couldn't be mentally disturbed just because retrospective history awards them far too much pain already. But it's still a rather gratuitious book, in my opinion.

So it's probably not true in the historical sense, but it represents an attempt to recreate what might have been true about Turner's character and motivations.
