I remember 2 years into learning guitar I was able to play Erotomania really far into the song. Once it got to the solo though I crapped my pants in shame.

What's this about a Metallica tribute? Or a DT one?

Octavarium isn't too difficult until the crazy polyrhythmic crap in Full Circle.

if i can figure out how to layer tracks and repeat a backing track so i dotn have to play the whole thing over and over...i'll put things out

I guess Octavarium seems hard to me because i'm so lazy. I don't really have the patience to learn that acoustic part in Someone Like Him n stuff like that.
