The Rob I knew was closer to Boomhauer, crazy down south ramble and all. Oh his middle name was actually "Edward Lee," which probably says something about his family.

The guy I knew named Robert used to call himself (or get people to) Bob, he said that was a short form of his name, it didn't seem savoury past a cursory glance as the was no 'B' in his name to begin with so I stayed away from him after that.

I'm trying to decide whether to go to this record label's 10th anniversary show. The artists playing are Jens Lekman (solo), Andrew Bird, Holly Throsby, Spoon, Jack Ladder and a special guest who is rumoured to be Arcade Fire or Joanna Newsom.

For some reason FX has been playing the older King of the Hill episodes.

Yeah, I watched a couple yesterday.

They're terrible. I don't know in which season the show started getting good, but everything from then on rules.

it never got good.

Not as good as The Wire.

King of the Hill rules.

The older episodes go too slow, like in a Beavis and Butthead fashion (well, they both have the same creator).

It fit with Beavis and Butt-head though.

The older episodes are just all bad in general. They make Hank seem like a jackass most of the time. I don't know if that's intentional or not but it's weird. The coloring is pretty off sometimes too, like when they cut between two characters as they talk.

Most of the voices don't even really fit.
