No.

You have to vote in the state you were registered, in this case RI.

yar
I never said they would vote in the other state, but I was rather unclear, as usual  . I meant that they could go for rallies and the like. Also, if the electoral college was taken away, they wouldn't necessarily need to be registered by state. I agree with you, though, I'm just playing devil's advocate...

PaulSimonon 10-06-2004 09:32 PM
Thats why I said that people are content to bask in ignorance. Just because they choose it doesnt make them less ignorant.

I wouldnt want someone who knows nothing about engines fixing mine. I also dont want someone who knows nothing about world politics choosing my next president

:):upset:
Quoted for truth.

ScorpSath 10-06-2004 09:32 PM

I;m still here, not for long though. Just programing drums for my song.

PaulSimonon 10-06-2004 09:33 PM

Fancy! I just used bass, as I have nothing but Sound Recorder.

e p 10-06-2004 09:34 PM

PaulSimonon 10-06-2004 09:36 PM

e p 10-06-2004 09:39 PM

Nevermind, I could try my hand at GP which I have.

PaulSimonon 10-06-2004 09:42 PM

I record them , then AIM them to you... preprogrammed crap, basic stuff.

Espbassor 10-06-2004 09:50 PM
Why the hell doesnt guitar pro have drum tracks?
Hmm...my guitar pro does drums, just have to change instrument to percussion when you add a track.

e p 10-06-2004 09:51 PM

I only get

reverse cymbal
taiko drum
woodblock
agogo
tinkle bell
steel, melodic, and synth drum

PaulSimonon 10-06-2004 09:52 PM

Everyone, there is a Kahler tremolo on Ebay for those who are interested.

Kwash2 10-06-2004 09:53 PM

I'm looking at a drum set. However, I need to consult a doctor first, I have a bone deformity in my elbows, and I don't wanna be no cripple.

PaulSimonon 10-06-2004 09:54 PM

I'm buying a set off of a good friend for 30$

ScorpSath 10-06-2004 09:55 PM

Alright I'm off to bed, nite mx.

e p 10-06-2004 09:55 PM

NVM guys.

My dad has a studio downstairs so I'm just going to play some generic drum beats (used to play for 2 years). And then record them on a CD and upload them on my comp.

Thanks anyway.

PaulSimonon 10-06-2004 09:56 PM

Yup... I'm confusing things as usual.

Espbassor 10-06-2004 09:57 PM

e p 10-06-2004 09:57 PM

No you're not.

I just figured this way I can play what I want. It will sound more natural too.

PaulSimonon 10-06-2004 10:00 PM

Hmmm... There a lot of nice basses on ebay....

PaulSimonon 10-06-2004 10:03 PM

Anyone know what the reserves are on Brices?

Espbassor 10-06-2004 10:06 PM

Hmmm...seems like a slow night. And I can't sleep...lovely combo. Band practice was horrible today. I think my drummer smoking up before the practice really hindered his playing ability. He was missing beats and dropping sticks like crazy, it was horrible. Then he goes off and says it was a good practice. If he does this stuff saterday at the show, I'm going to be pissed. Bad enough I cant get my ex off my mind, I don't need to worry about my drummer fucking up our biggest show so far.

PaulSimonon 10-06-2004 10:08 PM

Sounds like things aren't going so well... At least you had a girlfriend, and are playing in shows.

PaulSimonon 10-06-2004 10:09 PM

G'night MX.... may tommorrow be a better day!

e p 10-06-2004 10:10 PM

Later.

Im out to.

Peace

Honestly, I don't want to play this show. No one I know will be there. My ex will be there probably. So, since we're playing first, I'll probably be stuck there having to socialize with my ex. That's also not counting out the possibility we might get cut off again, like we did last show. We've already decided that, if that happens, we're going to just keep rocking out. I dunno, I'm just not looking forward to this show at all..

Crapdragoon 10-06-2004 10:17 PM

Hi.

I know what you mean; I have a really awkward show coming up on Saturday too. I'm dating the guitarist in my band, and this summer I was off in Seattle, so there was a replacement bass player. Anyway, I've had a week and a half to get a 3 hour set ready, and I haven't played with the band for 4 months. Not to mention that the drummer is on the rocks with his g/f because she's pregnant...and this other ho-beast girl who tries to jump the guitarist whenever she sees him will be there tooo...ugh. Drama is just so...

gaslight 10-07-2004 12:22 AM

Yeah dating people in the band can be awkward.

That's why I'm lucky my bands are all guys.

Alma 10-07-2004 12:24 AM

hey all  how is everyone

super deluxe 10-07-2004 12:29 AM

Dating within the band can be weird, but you just have to have a brain about it. We broke up for a while, over a year ago, and the band was just fine. You have to be able to deal with people on a business level, not just a relationship level for it to work out. The drummer's girlfriend is a lot more trouble than I am! Not to mention that our singer has a thing for...how do I say it...well endowed girls? Anyway, he likes to hook up with them and then they never come see us play again. :upset:

gaslight 10-07-2004 12:35 AM

^ Lucky you guys, the girls I know would never be able to do things like that.

"No haha, you forgot to tune your guitar you silly thing :)."
"Omg I'm silly? Fuk u Omg. I am neva playin again. I'm gona qwit guitar. Omg neva talk 2 me again."

super deluxe 10-07-2004 12:39 AM

Our band conversations go more like:

"Dude, should we run that again?"
"Nahhh..."
"Whoa, this girl I just did last week...she was like...(makes gigantic gestures)!!!"
"Dude, you didn't..."
"Hey, fat chicks need lovin' too!"
"Dude! We should tune down to A, and then it would be REEEEEALLY heavy"
"heh heh...like your mom..."

gaslight 10-07-2004 12:43 AM

Haha.

Oh man... that's weird.

super deluxe 10-07-2004 12:48 AM

Not as weird as yesterday when my band left the practice space in the drummer's car, which has a bumper sticker that says "Stop B*tching, Start a Revolution" And then because we were arguing about the beat for Stinkfist, we sat in the car listening to it, and then pulled out, got 2 blocks, and then were pulled over by a cop. And suddenly! BAM! We were swarmed by SEVEN COP CARS! They wanted our ID's and thought we were terrorists because of his bumper sticker and the fact that we were sitting in a car at 1 am on a weekday night. So we gave them fliers for our show and offered them demos.

gaslight 10-07-2004 12:52 AM

I better not get that "I am a terrorist" bumper sticker after all, but let's just hope Osama doesn't get his hands on an "I am not a terrorist" bumper sticker, eluding police for another two years.
