The Beatles really didn't do that many live shows...
Maybe not, I just added that in to avoid an arguement. But we all know the Grateful Dead can play live. |
The Beatles really didn't do that many live shows...
Uh, that's all they did from 1960-66.....except for the time to make their movies and record their albums. That's why they quit touring. I'm pissed that the polls aren't open that long. I wanted to vote for Blue Oyster Cult so bad in #1, but I haven't been online for the past 36 hours, I'm pissed. Is it possible that it can be changed? (or is it gonna move on anyway?) |
Yea but if the band doesn't use 3D recordings, then you feel alittle more like it's a "live" recording. Any you know what they play in the studio, they can play live as well. (Obviously the Beatles and the Dead can play live, thats not what I was refering to.) It just seems more real to me if you don't 3D record.
Well, it would be "live" if they took only one go at a track. Otherwise, if they weren't using the 3D recording, they'd just be playing it live, but taking many goes at the song. |
yah that was there last concert, probably where u2 got the idea eh
Why do politicians have debates? Why do news channels have Debate shows?
Thats different. In a political debate, you can say "i have the facts right here that so and so did a better job, they are irrefutable truths." if anyone said "it is a fact that pink floyd is the greatest band ever" people would call them an idiot.
Not really Badmoon made reasonable point and maybe Ill cheak out a little more Dead...and maybe not
He did make reasonable points, but its just as easy to say "hey, you should check out the Dead, they're really awesome." Also, him just saying "The Dead are better than Pink Floyd" won't (hopefully) convince you. You'd have to listen to them and make up your own mind. Which can be done by avoiding the argument with a lot less hassle than if you do it through the argument. |

When as successful as the Beatles you dont really need to tour...**** I wouldn't :thumb: |

I prefer "Sugar Magnolia" and "Ripple/Brokedown Palace" (I play those two as one usually).

Sugar Magnolia is pure brilliance, I also think Ramble on Rose is brilliant.

Yeah, that's a great song. I really like "China Cat Sunflower"'s time signatures.

You know... did any of us concider Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johny Cash or Buddy Holly for the poll?
DVG. |
I'm pretty sure Elvis is one of the polls, but the others you would have to ask Rock not Roll about.
|
Were the Doobie Brothers on the list? I don't remember seeing them.
