I'll probably end up doing Heathen later on. I want to do MD because they're lesser known, and more unique than Heathen. I think other R&M regulars will take to them nicely, as most of them have a soft-spot for stuff that is different.
That, and i really don't know anything about MD except that I like their music. The debut album \m/

If you liked the debut album, you NEED to hear The Music Of Erich Zann.

RavenousMetalist87 07-27-2005 11:30 PM

I just realized something today.

I think we should do a cover of Merciless Death sometime. Just for kicks. I can lay down the rhythm guitar track for it if I can remember how it goes and when I get my *** out to Radioshack to buy an adapter for my amp to plug into the computer.

FatalEnergy 07-28-2005 01:20 AM

I'll play the bass for that, no problem.

I ordered Poltergiest - Behind My Mask, and Sodom - Agent Orange (even though I've heard all the songs on the album a billion times already). I just realized Amazon.com is pretty good, and I will start getting stuff from there more often

NP: Celtic Frost - Wings of Solitude
well.....Gigantour ****ing ruled. Megadeth, Dream Theater, and Symphony X owned.

The Megdeth setlist wasn't too different from the first time I saw them. Although they did play SET THE WORLD AFIRE and it ruled. They totalyl beefed Tornado of Souls, and had to restart. It was kind of funny. Good fun show though
I wish I could have gone to that so bad.

I was thinking...there should be some giant thrash tour brought back up, man, like Thrash of The Titans, but with the revived thrash bands now, like Testament, Exodus, Megadave, and Anthrax. Just thinking out loud.
Of all the crappy Megadeth songs to mess up, they go ahead and screw with Tornado of Souls.
Yeah, go figure. You'd think if they were to go for the goal, they'd play "Crush 'Em".

That would be great and as far as I know, those bands don't have any beef with each other

Found this at hardradio.com

Nuclear Blast Germany have announced that EXODUS have named their new album Shovel Headed Kill Machine, and will release the album through the label on October 4th. Tracks to be featured on the album include: 'Raze', 'Deathamphetamine', 'I Am Abomination', 'Going, Going, Gone' and '.44 Magnum Opus'. More details on the release as they surface. Meanwhile, Exodus are gearing up for tours of the U.S. and Europe in November and December.

Sounds good. Hopefully Dukes delivers.

metal-militia 07-28-2005 06:53 AM

I'm sure he will. I very much doubt it will be on par with BbB, but hopefully it will be an overall decent album.

RCA 07-28-2005 07:37 AM

Haha, those song titles suck.

Gah, other name change joke. I need to revert to my former name. :(

Yeah, back to RCA. I've been having cookie problems with this name anyways.

Double post for glory!

I want my 3000th to be in here. :chug:

You guys heard Forbidden's Green album? I've not yet heard that one, but I just bought it on ebay for $3. I don't imagine it will be as good as their older releases, but I still think it should be cool to have anyways.

I havent heard it, but I've heard it sounds nothing like the other abums. Meh, might still be good though.

Managed to get my friend into Vio-lence today, I convinced him to buy the re-issue sometime too :p

Ah, one half of the Machine Head we know today. Vio-lence is sweet, I applaud you for getting him into them.
RippingNameChangeAttack :lol::lol:
 Yeah, it's easier to say than friggin' Dragunov, that's fer sure!

Bye the way, congrats, Ryan, on the various achievements.

i've heard some of it and was dissapointed with it, as its no where near as good as Forbidden Evil.

It took repeated plays of Liquid Courage and the Eternal Nightmare album, i thought he'd be put off by Sean Killian's vocals, you either love 'em or hate 'em i guess. He went home with two of my Death Angel albums too.

Shred Danson 07-28-2005 04:49 PM

Ooh, what Death Angel albums?

RCA 07-28-2005 05:00 PM

The Ultra-Violence is all he needs.

Terrorzone 07-28-2005 05:05 PM

Yeah, their other albums dissapointed me greatly. Act III was the worst cd I bought since Load.

CaptainWaits 07-28-2005 05:06 PM
The Ultra-Violence is all he needs.
...And "Act III". It's my only DA album though, but it's a good one!

Terrorzone 07-28-2005 05:10 PM

Haha RCA, FPS Doug.

RCA 07-28-2005 05:12 PM
...And "Act III". It's my only DA album though, but it's a good one!
Act III is nothing compared to The Ultra-Violence. U-V is a more straightforward thrash album with lots of riffs, where-as Act III had other musical influences in it that took away from the thrashing.

Plus, Mistress Of Pain just slays.

Death Angel as a band, however, are just like Testament (IMO). Overrated, not enough quality thrash.
Haha RCA, FPS Doug.
Yessss!

"Dude! I run faster with the knife! Pfft...everyone runs faster with the knife!"

Terrorzone 07-28-2005 05:18 PM

Hahaha "My dad doesn't like to admit it, but he gets nervious, because whenever I get a gun it automatically points at someones head." That is a classic

Np:Nevermore-This Godless Endeavor

Does anyone have any idea where I can find the Destruction System?

RCA 07-28-2005 05:23 PM

Indeed it is! :D

NP: Demolition Hammer - Hydrophobia

FatalEnergy 07-28-2005 05:53 PM

I still see Death Angel as the most AVERAGE thrash band ever, they aren't that great, but they aren't horrible. I have the first three albums, for some reason I like "Frolic Through the Park" the most

Corporal Compendia 07-28-2005 06:11 PM

Death Angel aren't the greatest, but they'll blow your head off live, that's for sure.
