THURSDAY IS INCREDIBLE
Geoff's lyrics are some of the best I've ever read. They're so poetic and just overall incredible. I love Thursday. Goldfinger bores me. EWWWWWW AIDEN. ROFL Vince! pwned by Gav -Gav |
Thursday bores me. :-\
I can understand that...that is at least logical. But this...
Dustin's lyrics pwn the hell out of Geoff's.
There is NO EXCUSE for that. OK...let's look. Mable or... ...Dying in New Brunswick? Superman ...or ...How Long is the Night? I think the winner is clear. :p Thursday<3 -Gav |
Haha, me too Dave (I think thats your name, if its not please tell me, if you dont I'll keep calling you Dave :p)
better keep calling me Dave <_< /vince, everyone bores you :-\ |
Everyone bores me, too...
Goldfinger...all ska bands...The Academy Is......etc. -Gav |
Then on tuesday, mable left me
I heard she’s goin’ out with charlie She saw his package from what I know she said: That looks like a tube of cookie dough!
Anyone that argues that that is better than Thursday's lyrics...well...you lose automatically. :p <3! -Gav |
Coheed and Cambria bores vince.. Now thats just taking it too far
/leaves for guitar lessons, peace |
Gav, I'd rather listen to Mable and Superman tbh. |
I can understand that...that is at least logical. But this...
-Gav
ITP Gav fails to realize Dustin is Thrice's lyricist and I wasn't saying Goldfinger are great lyricists :p Dave: Not the 700 artists in my music library :p EDIT Wait Thursday's in my music library, I fail :( EDIT2: Coheed is boring. Not as bad as Thursday though. |
ITP Gav fails to realize Dustin is Thrice's lyricist and I wasn't saying Goldfinger are great lyricists :p
OK, that's not AS bad. I like Thrice, but Thursday is still way better, especially lyrically. Dustin has cool lyrics, though. BTW, ITP?
Coheed and Cambria bores vince.. Now thats just taking it too far /leaves for guitar lessons, peace
Coheed bores me, too. They're doing what Rush did 20-30 years ago. YAWN. -Gav |
I'd rather listen to something with shoddy lyrics and is fun to listen to than something seriously depressing, and with top notch lyrics.
|
BTW, ITP? -Gav
In this post. |
I'd rather listen to something with shoddy lyrics and is fun to listen to than something seriously depressing, and with top notch lyrics.
Thursday isn't depressing at all. It's just emotional. -Gav |
Fun > Emotional
imo |
Fun > Emotional
imo
...but fun is an emotion. That's like saying' Basketball > Sports Basketball is a sport. Some of Thursday's songs are happy, like Standing on the Edge of summer. It's about Geoff's grandmother and how we grow old. -Gav |
Fun > Emotional
imo
Depends. But generally yeah. I mean you listen to Goldfinger, you think, Party! Put on Thursday, think, Razorblades! |
No you don't...where do you guys get this stuff from?
It's cool if you like Goldfinger more than Thursday. I'm just busting your collective balls...but how can you say Thursday is "depressing" music? It's...not. :amaze: Oh well...maybe you guys see it differently. -Gav |

I do but it makes no sense. ;)
It's cool, though. I still love you. -Gav |

By definition Ska is happier than Thursday because that's just how music is. I mean, downbeat doesn't mean depressing...but Thursday isn't exactly Power Metal either. Thursday isn't necessarily downbeat...it's just dudes writing emotional music. I wouldn't say it's all depressing, although some songs certainly deal with depressing topics, i.e., Dying in New Brunswick.
Sometimes I like the think the only reasons I'm alive today are because of 2 songs that let me know I'm not alone in how I feel about where I live: Cross Out the Eyes - Thursday Division Street - Thursday I hate this place so much but those songs let me know Geoff felt the same way but he's doing OK now. Also, the album Jane Doe by Converge helped me out tons. I still cry at the end of the very last song when Jacob screams, "Run on, girl, run on." I swear he wrote that album about Brittany and me. Lyrics for it: http://www.darklyrics.com/lyrics/converge/janedoe.html#1 If it wasn't for that album, I honestly don't think I'd be here right now. :( -Gav |
Oshi, the power is out near here due to the lightning.
