Underoath - Lost In The Sound of Seperation

I have to listen to Underoath more, it didn't grab me at first. Of course their last album took me a really long time to get into.

I havent heard the new Underoath today but I'll just go buy it in a bit. Last time I bought an album without hearing it I ended up with that shitty Alchemy Index thing, but I have a little more faith in this one.

Yeah Define The Great Line took me months to get into, but when I really sat down and listened to it, I found out how awesome it really was. I'm still finding out cool things about it that I didn't know existed, to be honest. I was just ready to digest the hell out of the new album so I pretty much listened to it a shitton right off the bat. I still need to listen to it more though.

Yeah I can understand that, my problem is that I can't listen to the same album super often for some reason, so it takes me awhile to get into some albums, like that Underoath album.

Yeah I'm kind of the same way. I guess I was just looking forward to it like crazy.

oh, idk, if writing good songs isnt enough, then having a vocalist who can actually growl well and do good-sounding pig squeels (which is uncommon), as well as a bassist you can actually hear [i]multiple times[/i] throughout their material, would be two things that sets them apart from most deathcore bands of today

They weren't a "deathcore" band on the album I had. Just bad, chuggariffic metalcore.

"the onyx sun" is 4srs one of the best deathcore releases so far this year

i hate that people talk about deathcore in that kind of sense, as though it is deserving of its own block of "best genre albums of the year"
