Anyone know what Adam used to get the Pu[B]s[/B]hit Live tone?... It's one of the best I've ever heard. It's mainly the tone in the intro I'm talking about.. cause I know he throws in more distortion when the chords come in.

Hey very well could have one, but hey, that list is more thorough than most I've seen.

Oh and for the guy looking for Justin's bass effect(s)- Just get a Digitech BP200. It has more than you need, and they're really a good deal for the amount of stuff you get with it. You get whammy, wah, delay, gain, and a myriad of other crap. Either that, or just save up for New York. I'd much rather have an effects pedal than a trip to New York. That's just me, I have a thing against the city for some reason. :shrug:

Lateralias- I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say it was his Mesa amp, with about 60-70% gain, and of course, some delay. For the live version, it's less gain, and perhaps a little chorus.

I would've thought that Adam used more effects.

He does... there is a Tool pic of the floor and there are TONS of pedals and stuff... I don't think they covered all of them in that post.

That's his basic rig. On Triad, he uses tons more, but typically, that's all he really uses, and needs IMO.

i know one thing he uses often that was forgotten, a leslie cabinate processor, thats why when there live on all there trippy songs it seems that the speakers are rotating :cool:

I know I've promised recordings and re-recordings for a while now. I promise I haven't forgotten, but I've been really busy...but I still really want to do them.

I know he uses Wal basses (as well as a Sting-Ray), and Mesa M-Pulse heads with Mesa cabinets.

I also know that he uses a Pro-Co Rat distortion pedal. That's all I can recall at the moment.

No, he doesn't use Pro-Co, he uses the Boss ODB3.

And he used it on H, Aenema, Third Eye, Schism, Parabola, and maybe others.

PageCobain- Actually no, I think you're thinking of the Virus sythesizer. He only uses the Epilady on Triad, or so I've heard. 307 says the odd noises throughout The Grudge are the Virus synth. He could probably elaborate on it a bit, but there you have it.

Otherside- I doubt if Blair has yet to dismiss the April Fool's rumors. I think it's funny how every Tool fan(at least on Toolnavy) hates him, but if I was in that position, I would be toying with the fans the exact same way. :evil:

So, I picked up Blackwater Park today. I just listened to The Leper Affinity. It was pretty amazing, but I'm not too big on the growls. :-/ Never really have been a fan of that kind of vocals, but on the other hand, every thing is amazing. Mikael's clean vocals, the guitar parts aren't too technical, but the solos are very expressive. The drum is pretty insane at parts as well. I can definitely see my self getting into these guys. Maybe they will be my gateway into more death metal.

Yeah really, I'm pretty positive they will release a live DVD eventually.. whether before or after the new album.. and hopefully not TOO long if it's after, cause after all.. it is a Lateralus tour DVD.

No I know that there is a dvd coming out but for some reason I do think something is coming out on the 16th of august but my best guess is november.

Opeth are a gateway for some people.. they were for me, though I still always listen to Opeth (one of my favorites). I recommend Da[B]m[/B]nation and then just kinda hop around on BWP or Still Life and let the vocals just grow on you.. it takes time but it will happen. :) I'll help you if you want any uploads Jake.
