Didn't read it but it looks like advertising

edit: beaten.

MODS: Can you please check in the Metallica thread every now and then? I had to warn the guys a few pages back about spam and little one line posts and now I had to do it again. Could you guys just check in every once in a while? That would be great.

you're being to harsh about nothing...we are talking about Metallica in a Metallica thread...there is no rules being broken in the process in that. Just relax

Bartender 01-17-2006 07:58 PM

Reporting a thread without reading it seems a bit of a strange tactic.
Reporting a thread without reading it seems a bit of a strange tactic.
I meant that I haven't read it thoroughly. I read the first paragraph or two, looked at the username, and looked at the posts and kind of assumed.

By the way the Metallica thread is ok now.

Nostalgia 01-17-2006 08:49 PM

I've had some computer troubles lately so sadly I haven't been on. What's with the rep? I clicked user Cp and my rep is gone :( I know this most likely has been said before so I apoligise.

Yeah, J removed it. We decided it was a wise choice in the long run

BLS_Infernus 01-17-2006 09:05 PM

virtuoso199 seems to have a problem in the Metallica thread

Not gonna happen, sorry.

Nostalgia 01-17-2006 10:26 PM

I was jokin'. I knew you wouldn't, haha.

Can mods see edited posts like they see the deleted ones? If yes, can someone tell me what bands this guy mentioned before his post was edited?

Well that's fair enough. I thought you meant you'd just looked at the name of the thread and guessed, which would be..stupid.

I'll look in on the Metallica thread now and then if/when I remember, but if anything goes on that we don't respond to, just report it specifically in here.

Joe 01-18-2006 02:51 PM

Ok, sounds good.

Steerpike beat me to the thread. But yes, it's illegal. Greatest band.

:upset: already closed

gmoneyguy 01-18-2006 11:18 PM

Keep an eye on Lucky Luciano

unsigned bands thread, we already have one...

Steerpike 01-19-2006 02:45 PM

http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=435127

Time to put this one to pasture. It's devolved into just another thread of internet tough guys trying to get the better of me and anyone else who calls them on their foolish behavior.

gmoneyguy 01-19-2006 03:00 PM

It looks like its getting back on track. Hopefully Luciano has learned to stay away.

Jom 01-19-2006 04:46 PM

Alright, 108 deleted comments later, and I put in a warning in the first post.

Any problem users that make themselves known will be gone for longer than the standard three days.

Hi, I was wondering if I could start a survey in here in one of your forums. It's about music design & packaging, has six simple questions for everyone and its results are for my own use only. background is that I am opening up my own design agency for coverart and packaging and need to find out more about the market I am gonna work for. It's neither spam nor advertising, it's just one tiny little survey and I would appreciate your support and help with this A LOT.
I have already posted this survey on boards like pulsemusic, rollingstone, segernet.com, pinkfloydfan.net and got good feedback. Now, this might sound like spam but I can assure you it's not. You may wanna email me to see that this is quite a serious issue for me. I'd be happy if you could help out.
Thanks & best,
Alex

gillygan 01-19-2006 06:32 PM

^ You would probably have to ask Jeremy. Hes the one who made these boards.

Jom 01-19-2006 06:41 PM
^ You would probably have to ask Jeremy. Hes the one who made these boards.
Uh, not really.

Alex:

Your best bet is to post your thread/survey in this forum.

I have to warn you, though, that you will get a lot of non-serious responses.

It's been treated with maturity but better close it.

Edit: or keep an eye on it.

Nostalgia 01-19-2006 08:56 PM

No don't close it let it be, stop worrying about closing it, we're having a discussion no harm in that. Yeah, so we're debating let people take out there emotions on religion, let 'em speak.

gmoneyguy 01-20-2006 11:56 AM

Any idea on when the drum polls will come up.
