hahahah ok obviously u arent a drummer easy target is easy to play its called accent i didnt think u could i was like u until the drummer of my band played it he also said i was a dumbass. but lost without u is impossible

p.s how u play easy target is u do a roll on the snare and on the note u need to play u kit it harder so like it would be somthing like this.

snare---xxxxXxxxxxXxxXXXxxxXXXxXxxXX the bigger x's are louder.

edit--- i play drums now so tommorow if i can be botherd ill record it for u. but my sticks are snapped and ducktapped up so they wont get much bouce so itll be hard.
You mean accent the notes. Also, Travis holds the record for the fastest single stroke roll? Amazing. I have to say, Tre is a pretty decent player. Listen to his fills in Basketcase. I have to go with Travis being a better player. Also, Travis sometimes over plays the fills, in some songs, he's better off not adding fills. Especially when they play live, he adds monstrous fills that don't enhance the song. Besides that, Travis is awesome.

10571z 06-11-2005 06:53 AM

yeh im not saying tre isnt decent but travis is way better.
yeh im not saying tre isnt decent but travis is way better.
I mean who knows, Tre might actually be better and not show it. Travis just shows it in his solos and all.

Yeah, but you said after you bought s/t you started listening to blink, green day and my chemical romance....all of which are pop-punk. Its like me saying i started listening to metallica so now my type of music is emo (not that extreme, but you get my point).

the_uber_penguin 06-11-2005 12:27 PM

They're different, get over it.

Travis is a fantastic drummer, who learnt a lot about funk, marching band and more new wave style music and is pushed as the main talent in the band.

Tré is a fantastic drummer who learnt a lot about blues, rock and isn't pushed as a the main talent in the band.

The fact of the matter is this: on TOYPAJ especially (and to a large extent on the Pink Album), Blink 182 wrote guitar parts which were intended to emphasize Travis' skill on drums.

Greenday write drum parts to emphasize the rhythm in the guitar, and their main focus isn't and has never been showing off how good Tré is. It's always been all about BJA's songwriting.

I'd say they're both amazingly good (and many talented drummers I know wouldn't choose between them) but shouldn't be compared, and can't be compared.

felch182 06-11-2005 01:37 PM

10571z, you seriously need to study punk musics roots, it was all about playing, when you had only picked up an instrument 5 minutes earlier.

Tabs make it really easy to read drums, if you can't read music at all. But I prefer regular music.

Independent_CA 06-11-2005 07:47 PM

For the love of God, why do we care which drummer is better?!

NCDrummer 06-11-2005 07:54 PM

i think Travis is really good! not the best but good! cause he's really into rudiments and he plays what he wants to play~

dancetomdance182 06-11-2005 11:00 PM
For the love of God, why do we care which drummer is better?!
It's because there is nothing to talk about blink. Even on MTV, they said don't expect a reunion any time soon.

not_much_good 06-12-2005 04:17 AM
