I'm listening to Radiant Decay again, and the version of Something I Can Never Have that's on there is far more beautiful than I remember it being. I love the female vocals.
Hmm...this I have not heard. An upload is in order, perhaps?

dUSK 11-02-2005 12:10 PM

Sure thing. Album or song.

And I thought you had posted you e-mail in here recently, but I can't find it, so can you post it again.

If your still looking for Deadwing I can do that now as well

Kage 11-02-2005 12:25 PM

Album, if you don't mind. :)

And I'm not looking for Deadwing...I've had it for a while

 Really? I must be confusing usernames with someone in the PT thread. 27 hours without sleep does that. Uploading now.
I think that is NINs worst album, personally.
Radiant Decay? I'm inclined to agree. Most of the mixes are pretty mediocore. It's worth it just for the version of SICNH though.

EDIT: Sorry Kage, upon further inpection I realised I meant Signify. I don't know where I got Deadwing from. I don't even own it.

hm, there is one thing i always wanted to know.
Why are you listening to Nine Inch Nails!? what is it? only the music, the lyrics? do you listen to him, because you are depressive?

And the second thing is.
When was your first contact with Nine Inch Nails, and in what form... through a friend, girlfriend, radio... what was your first song? did you like NIN from the first song on, or did you need time?

can't wait for your responses....

The reason I listen to NIN...I don't know. I just love the music. I love the fact that Reznor composes it all himself, and how emotional it is. I like the way he uses machines to create very real and human music. He's ingenius with his use of layering and songwriting. He can be one of the most abbrassive artists I listen to, and then turn around and be the complete opposite...pure beauty. But there's also beauty in his loud sound too.

The first time I heard NIN was when I was going on a search for their music, because the logo intrigued me. Honestly, that's the reason. I saw the logo and heard about "this band called Nine Inch Nails" and I was very intrigued by it. So I heard Head Like a Hole and I liked it. After a while, I bought the Fragile and was completely blown away.

I listen to NIN, not only because I like the music...but the emotion and energy Trent puts into everything. First song I listened to is "We're in This Together" I saw it on MTV when the video came out. I loved that song and always will remain my favorite by NIN.

But I did need some time, I didn't like everything by them until I saw them in concert about a month ago. When I saw their live performance and how it blew everything that I've seen up to that point out of the water...I really started giving everything else a more honest, focused listen. I really have found a lot of material that I absolutely love.

I love The Fragile, but Pretty Hate Machine is my favorite by NIN.

Exactly! I couldn't have put it any other way. Just love the music and emotion it carries.

I first heard of NIN (on the radio) in 1994 when TDS came out and "Closer" was the first song I heard. I liked "Hurt" but that was it. I really didn't get into them until about four or five years ago. I took me a few listens to get really into them and after that I was pretty much just hooked. :thumb:

Natural Born Killers is such a great film... i have seen him about five times or even more. The scene where SICNH is played couldn't have been better for this song and film! And the song "Burn" is one of the greatest songs Trent ever wrote :D

Reywas 11-06-2005 05:25 AM

Yeah NBK = great movie.

I'm just listening to the Radiant Decay album.Female vocals on SICNH are so good and fitting.

dUSK 11-06-2005 05:46 AM

Phew, I couldn't remember if I ended up sending you the link to that or not, but obviously I did. The female vocals make SICNH even more beautiful that it already is.

The Frail was the other song that featured in Natural Born Killers right?

Reywas 11-06-2005 06:09 AM

Nope it was A Warm Place. The movie was made in 1994 so Frail couldn't make the cut.

dUSK 11-06-2005 06:17 AM

Ah good point.

It's been ages since I've seen it though, I might watch it tonight.

misunderstood 11-07-2005 03:23 PM

Would anyone happen to have "Right Where It Belongs V.2"? If so, I'd really appreciate it if someone would send it to me at skorpio_f@msn.com , please. I'm having a hard time finding it elsewhere.

misunderstood 11-07-2005 03:35 PM

^^Yeah, I believe it was a bonus only on the UK album. Anyway, Thank you very much for uploading it for me.

BlindWriting 11-07-2005 03:45 PM

If you're going to upload that, could you do Home as well?

bwnstl 11-07-2005 03:46 PM

And if you're going to do those two, can I get in on that action?

bjwumr AT gmail DOT com

Thanks much.

Kage 11-07-2005 03:52 PM

Med, did you get your post count reset or something?

The stripped down version of Right Where It Belongs is really cool.

BlindWriting 11-07-2005 05:46 PM
I got my postcount reset at the end of July. ;) But yeah, I did have it reset. Blindwriting, I tried sending the links to the e-mail address you registered with, but that didn't work for some reason. :-\ Sorry about that, but I'll need something else if you want the tracks. Ideally add me on either AIM or MSN, as it's easier that way.
Are you talking about "Home" and "Right Where It Belongs"? If so, they were released only in the UK on the With Teeth album. They got them as bonus tracks.

repcak 11-07-2005 06:02 PM

yes exactly.... hm... hasn't the japan-verion more bonus material?

misunderstood 11-07-2005 06:10 PM

If I'm not mistaken, I think they have those two plus a remix of THTF. I don't think they actually have a whole new song. Who knows.

Sebek 11-07-2005 10:38 PM

Went to the concert in Philly on Saturday, it was awesome.

Second time I've seen them, although I think I prefer the one at the Electric Factory back in May, the smaller club setting makes it more intimate, and the crowd was a little more into the moshing and pits which was just fun as all what.

repcak 11-08-2005 03:22 AM

does anyone has the alternative version of "All the love in the world" his first song on With Teeth?! would like to have it :)

Reywas 11-08-2005 07:00 AM

I would appreciate Home actually if you guys would forward the link.

thank you :)

BlindWriting 11-08-2005 03:23 PM

Many thanks to Med for the uploads.

Oh and I just realized that I have a live version of Home on my iTunes. Interesting.

The alternate Right Where It Belongs is fantastic.
