Oh.

Well, it still scared the shyt out of me. That's not safe...I could go crazy at my work and stalk from cubicle to cubicle with a rusty letter opener, killing and maiming at my leisure.

superpeer 09-07-2004 03:22 PM

Kingofdudes 09-07-2004 03:25 PM

Paranoidd 09-07-2004 03:29 PM

Actually I recommend http://www.suprnova.org

For sheer quantity of games (ROMS).

Braindead as in "I kick arse for the Lord!"?

Or am I thinking of some completely different?

I'm sure he means that, and you've just quoted by far the best part of the entire movie, end of discussion. :)

Bartender 09-08-2004 08:52 AM

So...good morning, everyone. Anyone here?

It's good to find people with a liking for B-movies, by the way.

Armor O'Malley 09-08-2004 09:01 AM

Good afternoon ;)

Personally I love low budget movies and cult movies. Saw Repo Man recently, and it rocked hard.

Paranoidd 09-08-2004 09:14 AM

*strech*

Good morning...afternoon...wherever you are.

I'm at work. Whats new?

Just finished listening to the Dream Theather concert cover of the Master of Puppets album. Everyone rocked it, except LaBrie.

Had to bring my stupid guitar into the shop last night. Unbelieveable, that a loose connection is not covered under warranty. The guy didn't charge me any labor though, so I guess that is OK. Still had to pay for the part. I saw this beautiful Epi Semi-hollow there, but it was like three grand and I was too scared to touch it.

The funny thing was seeing this guy who had obviously done too many drugs in his time, stumbling around the store, he couldn't form a proper sentence, his speech was slurred, and the salesman was reluctant to let him try a guitar.

But when he did....holy smokes...the guy was wailing on that thing. Seriously, I don't even think this guy could have tied his shoes by himself, and he was playing some cool stuff. Weird.

I just saw Willard last night (the remake, not the original) and it was great. Not low budget (financed by New Line Cinema, so it cost quite a bit), but it's definitely a B/cult minded movie. And it has Crispin Glover, who's just an awesome actor.

Well it's technically afternoon for me (4:17pm), but I only got up an hour or so ago, so good morning. I'm at home, as I have no work.

I think I saw that Dream Theater thing on eBay a while ago. Is it the Master of Metallica thing?

How much did the part cost?

Paranoidd 09-08-2004 09:32 AM

The part was 6 bucks, but I could have bought strings with that.

I know, I'm a cheap bastard.

The Dream Theater thing is a live cover of the entire MOP album...I just downloaded it and burned it, I usually don't buy something unless I'm sure I'll like it. It's pretty good, Petrucci is on (of course) but LaBrie just doesn't suit the music. His voice lacks high-end but thats due to the recording. Not a bad listen though.

Who doesn't want to hear Myung do Orion?

Bartender 09-08-2004 10:04 AM

Well I could live without it. Myung is a fantastic bassist though.

Paranoidd 09-08-2004 10:10 AM

I wish I had drums :(

This weekend I made a drum kit out of cans, bottles, glasses, and a pack of smokes for a snare. I had some of my friends holding up water bottles with different amounts of water to get different sounds. It sounded so dope.

Drums = teh expensive :(

Bartender 09-08-2004 10:12 AM

All you ever need is a chair. I can't remember exactly how that works, but Toozey could fill you in on it.

Paranoidd 09-08-2004 10:15 AM

I'm confuzzled.

Bartender 09-08-2004 10:16 AM

Chair drumming. I'll try and find somewhere where it's explained.

There you go, I think.

Paranoidd 09-08-2004 10:25 AM

Haha, the sad thing is I've done that :(

I'm going to start posting pictures of all the little kits I made. We took a 10 second video one time of a kit I made at work, and I put "chop suey" on the CD player and played along to the beginning of it...I did it perfect, and my buddy erased it. Prick.

I drum on everything, I drive people crazy. Rythym > Silence.

Bartender 09-08-2004 06:17 PM

Good mooooooooooooooorning, Vietnaaaaaaaaaam.

*cough*

Anyone else bored?

Per Ardua Ad Astra 09-08-2004 06:19 PM

Persuader is the best power metal band.ever.

Bartender 09-08-2004 06:25 PM

I still haven't managed to download anything by them.

Paranoidd 09-09-2004 07:54 AM

Bump for the day.

Jeez...it should be criminal to be at work this early.

Bartender 09-09-2004 08:48 AM

What time is it?

Paranoidd 09-09-2004 08:49 AM

Now, its 10:45.

I hate mornings. I used to work 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. That was the best shift, ever.

Bartender 09-09-2004 08:52 AM

That sounds like a pretty good time to work. Were you on your own, or with others working the same shift?

psychoticreflex 09-09-2004 09:00 AM

here, it's about 15:56

Paranoidd 09-09-2004 09:01 AM

Back then, I was managing a skeleton crew of about 6 people.

It was great. I'd come in, lay out the work for them, turn on my tunes, and relax. Unfortunately, my crew was too good. We got so much done that there wasn't enough work to keep the shift going and they laid off everybody except me. Now I'm back on days, and I'm not a manager anymore :(

Just a normal data-entry peon.

Bartender 09-09-2004 09:22 AM

At least you didn't get laid off too. I'm surprised they didn't just reduce the night-shift to 2 or 3 people.

Anyway, what's going on now with anyone?

Paranoidd 09-09-2004 09:27 AM

They can't lay me off. With the exception of about 2 people, nobody knows this place as well as I do. My managers ask me how to do shyt.

But I digress.

Listening to Rust in Peace...and trying to decide what to eat for lunch. My nice Italian sandwich or something from the mall. Some Japanese food would be real nice right now.

Kingofdudes 09-09-2004 09:33 AM

I would rather be rotting at work, then at school right now.

gmoneyguy 09-09-2004 09:35 AM

yup work is some much better then school... you can actually talk, go on break smoke a cigarette etc.

Paranoidd 09-09-2004 09:38 AM

I need to go back to school. Going to take audio engineering, hopefully produce some records.

Finished high school and never looked back. :upset:

Work isn't that much better, especially if you make peanuts. Go to school, get the education and the good job. You're better off in the long run. My friend makes a ton of cash (more then his parents) and he is younger then I am. It's depressing to see.

gmoneyguy 09-09-2004 09:39 AM

this is my last year of high school and i cant wait to get out

Bartender 09-09-2004 09:46 AM

I'm neither at school or work..just sitting at home. Got an item ending on eBay soon, looks like it's selling well.

Paranoidd 09-09-2004 09:47 AM

What are you selling?

Bartender 09-09-2004 09:49 AM

My old MTG cards

Going for £230 at the moment, which is really good considering there's only 1100 of them. My friend sold his 4500 a few weeks ago and only got £180 or so.

Paranoidd 09-09-2004 09:49 AM

MTG card? Don't know what that is.
