To the MX'rs with bands whats the most youv'e been paid for a gig?

This guy I work with roadies with two local bands and he is tryin to tell me they get $2000 a show. Its pretty hard to believe, I call B.S. Last time I checked you could get Charlie Daniels to come to your house and play for that.

I got a friend who is gonna play the bar by my house he is gonna play for free drinks and gas money. The next time he plays will cost a little but most bands around here only get like $500 and that with there own PA.
Gretchen Wilson used to play at one of the bars in town and she only got paid $750. Of coarse she hadn't got famous yet but...

you make money by selling your own merch.

that's very good money if you ask me
bars around here only pay the old guys who play classic rock covers, the young ones have to make it kinda big to be able to come back and charge for a performance

Sup lod... So I think I'm gonna sell most of my guitars and amps and stuff. I haven't been playing them much anymore since the little one arrived. Plus I can focus on possibly a career as a professional cow bell player. possibly even o some session work. what do ya think?

wtf happened last night, i woke up at 6am... and see my bass parked at 1 corner of my room in a pool of liquid, wtf happened! i catn for the live of me figure out what happened, why was it moved why was there a big pool of some osrt of liquid on the floor!!!


on the plus i went to a bar with friends, took ages to get served so i left alone, ended up in a bar with this awsome cover band, awsome! that'll show them! i was told id get kicked out for waving my arms at the barmen, those ****ers wudnt serve me so i left and got served in seconds at the live band place, was awsome

Me and some mates did a proper chav holiday, 18-30s in Zante, just for sh[SIZE="2"]i[/SIZE]ts and giggles. God the weather was gorgeous. I saw 1 very small cloud on my first day then nothing for 2 weeks. Normally 38-42 degrees in the day, about 28 at night. Prepare for incriminating drunken pix innit.
