pink and yellow discog obvi
|
ripped into lossless FLAC from the CD I bought at that large music chain store I dreamt about
|
yeah P&Y must be listened to with top audiophile equipment in lossless formats, other wise you wouldn't know that the 1970's production values are supposed to be there
|
:)
i'm working on a Cripples Crossing Highways LP, I have about 20 different tracks i've started as templates to build on |
nice nice
im not actually working on anything concrete, but i want to work on learning to play this synth and maybe making a couple rap beats |
"Reptile" by Nine Inch Nails sets an example of depravity that later industrial rock fans have had a hard time living up to
|
I always did like those filthy synths and distorted guitars on Heresy
|
yeah it's all good stuff, on a bit of a NIN kick this morning
first discovering Further Down The Spiral in high school must have been one of the first things to make me fall in love with industrial, so much darker and more complex than standard nin output |
i'm on a Laibach kick of late
I thought their first album was this one I listened to ages ago, but no its completely different now that i've tried to find it again. I have to browse through their discography, it was mostly interesting percussive elements from what I remember I think one of the songs was called "Battles" or something |
MINDSTRIPPER
IT'S NOT WHAT IT SEEMS MINDSTRIPPER THE FACE OF DISEASE z |
what a horrible font
i'm falling asleep listening to The Boyd Rice Experience's Hatesville |
do you want
total war? throw out christ and bring back thor? do you want total war? unleash the beast in man once more? |
**** list
if ever I catch me a deadly disease i'll declare open season on my enemies and i'll hunt them down and i'll make them pay for the wretched things they do and they say if you're on my **** list it's not over yet I never forgive and I never forget |
This album is pretty bad there's something awesomely subversive about loops of nostalgic 60's pop music I can't quite explain. What Jaundice might call, depraved.
|
i heard something about depravity and loops of 60's pop music
i need names |
roll back a page
|
i figured Rice was involved, he's the only other person crazy enough to make industrial from 60's pop
will download v soon |
I remember he looped some 60's stuff on The Black Album as well, he talked about his fondness for that sort of thing extensively in some interviews i've read. He is a sound archivist as well and has a tonne of obscure vinyl.

its something ive tried to do with pink and yellow so many times but never gotten right
except for cute little interludes like this http://www.box.net/shared/0kqdf1xoue |
lol nice
I was bored today so reviewed a heap of industrial stuff for the reviews site and updated my blog with some stuff |
sweet, snagged Easy Listening for the Hard of Hearing
will def give it a listen some time this week |
Random recommendation:
"ID" by slowEarth Album: Beautiful Machines |
i'll look into it
I need some more EBM |
vnv nation, assemblage 23
|
this will be done
I may even get another Front 242 album |
The only Front 242 I have besides Front by Front is the No Comment LP, it's pretty good from the one or two times i've listened to it. More dark EBM and less club-dance sounding ****.
|
cool, i'll look into it
did you listen to that Boyd Rice & Frank Tovey release? |
not yet, i'll be sure to remember it when i decide to listen to five or six albums later to prepare for sleep
|
yeah I might chuck some Severed Heads in there over the next couple of nights ;]
|
sweet
it might be time for me to move on to a new severed heads record, i've been listening to the debut lately but how many times can you listen to a fifteen minute sound collage EP |
