Give me some stuff similar to Meshuggah...maybe a little less chugga chug and a little more wank...but still the chugga chug.

xMalcolmXx 10-06-2009 07:08 PM

veil of maya/the faceless/any sumerian band

EdgeOfSanity 10-06-2009 07:10 PM

Not what I'm looking for...I want the time sigs and such of Meshuggah just with a little more than just palm muted riffs.

Txus 10-06-2009 07:16 PM

EdgeOfSanity 10-06-2009 07:26 PM

So far I like the Coprofago the best...

The Cloudkicker is also really good...

IMO Textures sounds awful, ewww.

Txus 10-07-2009 06:50 PM

Coprofago ****ing rule, I completely forgot about them.

Textures are really boring.

EdgeOfSanity 10-07-2009 06:54 PM

Just borwsed Myspace pages...but it was the vocals that threw me off...

Jaundice 10-07-2009 06:55 PM

a band named Coprofago pretty much has to be good. about to look them up

fail

DBlitz 10-07-2009 11:10 PM

i never liked stuff like meshuggah. i've only heard obzen by them though and liked 1 or 2 songs, might try going through the rest of their discog some time

also find stuff like textures, gojira and hacride boring

Tyler 10-07-2009 11:14 PM

gojira is awful, but Textures add a cool dynamic because their new vocalist is an above average clean singer.

I like from mars to sirius.

xMalcolmXx 10-08-2009 02:42 PM

from mars to sirius and the way of all flesh are both good

ATM 10-08-2009 09:36 PM

Yo Mike, can you suggest a Mclusky album?

The Feeding 10-08-2009 09:47 PM

looking for black metal, some faves are Gorgoroth, Dissection, Dimmu Borgir & Old Man's Child. Not much into the kvult crappy sounding recordings but newer Dimmu are a bit too symphonic for my tastes

Nepenthe 10-08-2009 09:52 PM

cobalt
heresi
blut aus nord
krallice
nachtmystium

The Feeding 10-08-2009 10:02 PM

Nachtmystium I've heard that one before, whats their best albums?

Deth 10-08-2009 10:11 PM

Instinct: Decay would be their best album

also check out Sacramentum, they're similar to Dissection

Nepenthe 10-08-2009 10:13 PM

depends. demise and instinct decay are probably their best. demise for a more straightfoward album, instinct decay for a more experimental one.
