Its Target remember, and PTH still isn't that big in the states

are they releasing a tab book? that would be interesting

illpressureurhinges1 01-29-2008 03:25 PM
Vagrant is hardly underground.

Also, it looks like they got what they were talking to me about, because both their albums are on Amazon for free for the time being.

Hopefully this pushes them to finish the tab book. Solid sales and the ability to feel like you're not being selfish rockstar pricks were all they really needed to keep going on it.
Have they said when this tab book might be done?

Tyler 01-29-2008 03:26 PM

I don't think it matters how big they are, really. Its the label and the distribution. If you're seeing commercials for the album on MTV (as I have), there's a good chance it'll be at big chains.

I cant speak for MTVUS, but I know people have seen their video on headbangers ball.

"Probably never".

I know Tim had most of Kezia done, he wanted to do the songs that felt natural first. And I know Arif was chugging along with the bass parts, but I also know it wasn't a huge priority.

Tim told me that he'd want to make the book a "pay what you can", but have "free" be an option. But, he also said some money would be an incentive to finish it.

Like I said, who knows if it'll ever actually get done. But I know that at least Tim wants to get some tabs out there, because he said the ones he's seen (for Kezia) were absolutely awful and really, really incorrect.

He actually used to post his own tabs on MXTabs back in the day, so maybe he and MX could work something out :P

How does that suck, bunit?

.
i guess cause they're such a good band and id love to see people's faces if this band broke into that list

but altogether i dont really care, i just thought it would be a nice slap in the face of all the pop sh*t that is on that list

Static 01-29-2008 03:38 PM

Oh well you're an idiot.

Pastorius 01-29-2008 03:43 PM

My favourite song off Fortress keeps changing, at first it was Bloodmeat, then Limb from Limb, now it's Bone Marrow.

seven rings and sixty feathers plucked from sparrow's wings

what a line

Tyler 01-29-2008 03:43 PM

I wish I knew the significance to it. But I'm not exactly well versed in Persian history.

PIGS(1 different one) 01-29-2008 03:57 PM

Might download their new one... whats it like compared to Keiza?

Tyler 01-29-2008 04:01 PM

Better. In every way. What've you got to lose, anyways?

Better.

Edit: Beaten.

LifeInABox 01-29-2008 04:02 PM

Why do people need tab books? I figure all my shi out by ear and I'm only 12.
Why do people need tab books? I figure all my shi out by ear and I'm only 12.
Did you read what I said?

They're fed up about seeing shitty, shitty tabs for their music. Just like they were worried about a shitty, shitty leak. That's undoubtedly the reason both albums are on Amazon.

beans 01-29-2008 04:24 PM

poopty

Skyler 01-29-2008 05:08 PM

So when are the UO pre-orders expected to arrive?

TojesDolan 01-29-2008 05:18 PM

I think I'll give this album a try. I don't know.

Eh, they carry death metal and such.

Anyway, I didn't make it out today.

NemesisDivina 01-29-2008 05:40 PM

I'm still waiting for my hard copy, I don't care if there are free downloads. I've stuck it out this far, a few more days can't hurt. :p

beans 01-29-2008 05:44 PM

no kidding
same here

NemesisDivina 01-29-2008 06:10 PM

Yeah, but I've been set on waiting, you're waiting because you couldn't find a link for the leak...

Tyler 01-29-2008 06:12 PM

lol, Americans got ripped off. And anyone else outside of Canada.

Why? Because I just got Fortress, and it's a purple digipack.

Static 01-29-2008 06:19 PM
Yeah, but I've been set on waiting, you're waiting because you couldn't find a link for the leak...
I approve of this post.

awia 01-29-2008 06:23 PM

I wouldn't doubt it if they make it into billboard...I mean...Machine Head made it into billboard with 10k sold in first week, so did Colors I think too, So i wouldn't doubt it..

Tyler 01-29-2008 06:26 PM

You're failing to realize how many charts they have. Of course they'll make the "metal" charts.

awia 01-29-2008 06:29 PM

I'm just talking about the top 200 billboard chart in general..

LifeInABox 01-29-2008 06:57 PM

Got it.

LifeInABox 01-29-2008 07:14 PM

no
i just love the anticipation and hearing how good it is from everyone

LifeInABox 01-29-2008 07:17 PM

This is the first time I've heard it.

The basswork is remarkable.

Pastorius 01-29-2008 07:19 PM

The bass is absolutely amazing. It actually reminds me a lot of the Spiral Architect bassist in places, which is weird, because they're like uber-tech prog metal.

Just beautiful counterpoint throughout. My favourite part is the drums though, he's developed a lot. The double bass is phenomenal throughout the entire album.
