The photos look pretty sweet, and nice review. I like the look of the new band, as opposed to the band during the Fragility Tour. Trent looks refreshed. Can't wait to see them in four months.

repcak 06-16-2005 03:13 PM

yes he looks refreshed but he has to many muscles :upset: in his ealier day he looked better.

once one guy said: "arnold reznor turned completly to trent schwarzenegger. He is now the incredible Hulk" ... at first i was eroded at him, but he is right.... it looks weird when a man with such muscles stands on the stage and plays hurt.....

Kage 06-16-2005 03:16 PM

He does look weird...haha, it doesn't really match his lyrics when this strong man is playing something like Hurt.

repcak 06-16-2005 03:18 PM

yeah... but the mythos trent reznor died for me on the concert, but today i put the with_teeth cd back into my discman and the world was the same... the feeling is back again

repcak 06-16-2005 03:37 PM

one of the great things were that, after the show the guitarst ( i don't know his name) went outside to the aftershow party and he stood there for 2minutes beside me. i wasn't sure if he was it or not; me and a friend debated too long if he is it or not, but then he went... so it was too late to get a sign from him :(

When i saw them in Austin this past May I also approached Aaron without being too sure if it was him or not...good thing it was him, hehe. Anyway, they walk around pretty freely which is rather cool. Anyway, anyone planning on joining the now offical fan club...the spiral, I think they called it?

misfitsandcider 06-25-2005 07:01 PM

hmm new album is ace... right where it belongs is one ace song..tahts all i can say so buh bye

Nope. I once payed $15 for a similar club, and I really regretted it. Much less paying $60 for this one.

Kage 06-25-2005 07:15 PM

Meh. It'll go on sale when it goes on sale.

repcak 06-25-2005 07:55 PM

BlindWriting 06-25-2005 08:44 PM

Long time no post.

The closest show to me is in NYC, on November 3rd. That's a school night, though... but I really, really, really want to go.

Dude..I get up to go to work then.

Let's just say I were to go out and buy a NIN album...Which should I buy? I would assume The Downward Spiral, due to my somewhat expansive knowledge of them. It did well in the Top 100 album comp

Kage 06-25-2005 08:47 PM

Depends. I recommend The Fragile because it's slightly more accessible, if not more daunting for pure length. Fragile is my personal favorite as well. TDS is darker, more abrasive, and very depressing. It's an emotionally-heavy and burdensom listen, but that's why I like it so much.

In conclusion, either of those two. I'm assuming TDS will be cheaper since it isn't two discs, which may be a deciding factor as well.

BlindWriting 06-25-2005 08:48 PM

Start with The Downward Spiral, and whether you like it or not, get The Fragile anyway. The latter is the best NIN album but not the best introduction to his music.

repcak 06-25-2005 08:48 PM

i would recommend the '...and all that could have been' cd... i started with this one :thumb:

its a 'best of' and its  even live

If he gets the deluxe TDS, the price might end up being about the same.

JaKz 06-25-2005 08:53 PM

absolute killer album, right where it belongs is so depressing...

BlindWriting 06-27-2005 01:59 PM

Only was released into Garageband format. Just downloaded it. I made a THTF remix, and I can't wait to get started on this one.

Do you listen to their other stuff as well?
They have stuff WAY more depressing.

I expected that album to be way more industrial.

Yeah...
Thats my all time favorite NIN song... It's just perfect.

Lateralias 06-27-2005 10:12 PM

I just watched Man on Fire and couldn't help to notice The Mark Has Been Made in bits and peices in this movie... I think the beginning of The Great Below was even in there. Gave the movie a good vibe.

I wanna see NIN soo bad (11/05 in Philly, 3 days after my birthday)

But Gigantour tickets cost $160 and my vacation to Disneyworld from 10/18 to 10/25 is $3000 (birthday present)

If Gigantour cost $160, NIN will probably cost double that (Considering Gigantour is in the 2200 seat House of Blues in Atlantic City and NIN is in the 20000 or so seat Wachovia Spectrum)

gigantour costs that much because of the amount of headlining bands. nin will cost between 45 and up (depending on seats).
