By the way, Torn, I downloaded that Portraits of Past song 'Bang Your Head' you told me to download ages ago and it's pretty impressive. Thanks for that.

And these joke accounts are getting really boring and lame.

Awesome, I just found a couple awesome records in a box in my closet.

Probably forgot to unpack them. I love things like this.

thriftstoresweater 02-02-2005 02:35 PM
I order them off Amazon, as Interpunk won't ship to Oman.
Amazon are cheap and reliable.

Interpunk however also sells band T-shirts and other merchandise and has a larger selection of CDs (although Amazon has a lot too.)

When pre-ordering from Interpunk you usually also get a free T-shirt/poster/sticker etc.
hey thanks i do need some new band t-shirts!

love2drum 02-02-2005 07:21 PM

This has probably answered, but after getting to page ten i didnt feel like looking anymore...

So anyway, the band Funeral For A Friend, are they screamo or just emo? I saw someone put them under the emo list and not on the screamo list. So I was just wondering... I mean they do scream... alot, escpecially on the "Seven Ways To Scream Your Name" cd. So, sorry for being so n00bish, but i was just wondering...

BuddyBigsby 02-02-2005 08:25 PM

Neither. Popcore, as DFelon says.

love2drum 02-02-2005 08:34 PM

popcore? I dont even no what that is :upset: But anyway i was looking around and i found a site with some FFAF audio on it and in the band description it said they were Rock, Hard Rock, Modern Rock, Emo,and British Punk....wtf?

BuddyBigsby 02-02-2005 09:31 PM

The closest 'real' genre they would fit in is pop-punk. With screaming and stuff.

I love when that happens, good satisfaction. Its like getting brand new stuff for free.

Gotkookie 02-03-2005 12:08 AM

Im really liking the red scare and textbook traitors. :) Listening to TT now.

tornpictures 02-03-2005 03:10 AM

The Red Scare are the best!

Really sloppy live, but really nice people. They've really got that groove in their music.

tornpictures 02-03-2005 10:04 AM

Modest Mouse are awesome.

I own every LP.

Sep 02-03-2005 12:36 PM

Yeah. "Talking Shit About A Pretty Sunset" is genious too.

Yes!!!!!! Torn, you are a genius, not to mention very very lucky :upset:

I'm going to go see them in about two weeks.

BuddyBigsby 02-03-2005 08:44 PM

I bought this a week or so ago and just got it. It's sweet. It's a self-released Indian Summer comp of all their songs.

*waits for torn to talk about how he knows this guy and he's a nice dude*

cbmartinez 02-03-2005 08:56 PM

Whoa, the user Wow just bought some Indian Summer vinyl off of the bassist.

BuddyBigsby 02-03-2005 09:01 PM

Hahaha, crazy.

cbmartinez 02-03-2005 09:04 PM

Yeah, it's the same item actually.

Wow 02-03-2005 09:06 PM

Yeah but it's not Vinyl. I thought it was. Oh well. I talked to their bassist Seth, the guy selling it. All the time I thought they were from the 80's when they were from the early-mid 90's.

afireinside86 02-03-2005 11:05 PM

are you asking if they are good or if they are emo or screamo? does it matter whether other people think they are good or not? just listen to what you like. i haven't heard of most of them, but i have listened to a change of pace and after the tragedy before. neither one of those are emo or screamo by the definitions in this thread. i do like after the tragedy though.

Discography CD, pretty common.

Their ads in HeartAttaCk were the best, for example:
April tour

2 - Oklahoma
5 - Michigan
6 - Smoke weed somewhere
9 - whatever
10 - Smoke and chill
How did Saetia's bassist die?
I have no idea!

Probably just some boring thing like a heartattack.
