Just got back from HMV, who have a tendency not to stock any bands I'm trying to get into.

Kaiser Chiefs - Employment
The Ordinary Boys - Talk Talk Talk
The Replacements - Tim
The Replacements - Let it Be
Talking Heads - Remain in Light
OMD - Architecture & Mortality

It's 6, sue me.

If you take out this one, it'll be five and you won't be physically sick.

I haven't heard the album, just the single "I Predict A Riot." But I can't stand those fucks.

McFly > Kaiser Chiefs

I decided to give Gang of Four a listen after constantly being told that most of my favourite bands copy them so today I got Brief History of the 20th Century. Was that a good one to get? It was only £5 so...
I also picked up Sonic Youth - Experimental Jet Set

Edit: Oh and I've really enjoyed Gof4 so far! If any one band I like is clearly influenced by them its got to be The Rapture. Holy poo I couldnt believe my ears. Today has been highly enlightening

I only have Entertainment! and it's a fabulous album. I was looking to get Solid Gold, but they didn't have it in stock.

Anyways, I'm sure that's a decent album (compilation, right?), a good start.

I just bought GlassJAw's Everything you Ever Wanted to Know About Silence. It came down between that and F#A#(infinity)

I listened to the album, it's good. 3/5 good. Nothing earth-shattering, it won't be in constant rotation, but I enjoyed it.

El_Goodo 04-20-2005 10:32 PM

1.) Jimi Hendrix - The BBC Sessions (2 Disk)
2.) The Beatles - Rubber Soul

Yeah, fair enough. :)

I guess I shouldn't really judge them on the single alone. But I really couldn't be bothered.
