If this is the nu-metal band that you were talking about joining earlier, then I think it is most definetly a great plan... of course, even if you were straight thrash those would still be great picks. Rock out man \m/
The only thing about us now that sounds remotely nu-metal is the slower songs that I've written. Everything else is thrash. We're like a mixture of Slayer, Anthrax, and a little bit of Cold thrown in there, but not much. We will play the Hellion into Electric Eye though. We open our shows with a instrumental that we wrote called "Scream of the Martyred".

record it and let me hear it then!

btw: What's the name of our band?

sacrifice93.2 03-09-2004 10:31 AM

Axehead :thumb:

Girl-Playing-Bass 03-09-2004 10:36 AM

doesnt that sound thrashy :thumb:

sacrifice93.2 03-09-2004 01:10 PM

Does it really? I hope so, cause I thought it fitted well. I'm the lead singer, if I haven't mentioned it before. Our first show went off without a hitch, and we recorded it, so I'll have to start us a homepage, and put that video available for streaming. I've written some stuff that's socially conscious, like a song I wrote about abortion called Dealing in Death, and then there is more introverted stuff like the acoustic song called Insomnia that I wrote. As a band, we have good range, and we get people who listen to nu-metal to realize how great thrash is. I love it!

If you guys want, I could post some of my lyrics if you like. Give me some feedback!
I already knew about metal-archives, great site :thumb:

And I am soon going to do a Darkness Descends review, for it i need your help, I need a so-called "unholy pentagram" of maniacal thrashers that paved the way for death. I got: Darkness Descends, Pleasure to Kill, Reign in Blood, and Seven Churches. For the 5th one I'm thinkin Sep's Schizophrenia, not sure. Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks :chug:
Venom - Black Metal

or if you want to stick to the super thrashers...

Persecution Mania

JMetallica 03-09-2004 10:16 PM

well, morbid visions and bestial devestation were more deathy and they 'paved the way' so to speak for death, although they aren't really manic thrashers to the degree that schizophenia and beneath the remains were. Meh, all early sep albums are worth picking up. :D

Death's scream bloody gore is another one, as are master's and masacres first few albums/ demos. yeah, awesomeness \m/

LordDargon 03-10-2004 06:22 AM

OK! So i'll have to check out Persecution Mania, I should be doing the review later today!

Dance Of Death DVDA

According to IRON MAIDEN's official web site, EMI Records will release a "Dance of Death" DVDA on March 22 with 5.1 surround sound specially mixed by producer Kevin Shirley and bassist Steve Harris. For the audio buffs, the DVDA portion contains the album in full crystal-clear hi-definition 24-bit/96-khz glory while fans who own DVD 5.1 home cinema set-ups will be able to enjoy the album in surround-sound in Dolby Digital or DTS. Listening to the album in this format takes it to a whole new experience level especially with tracks such as "Paschendale" taking on epic proportions. Also included on the DVDA as a bonus are two full-length videos of the singles "Wildest Dreams" and "Rainmaker", both directed by Howard Greenhalgh and which can also be viewed accompanied by full 5.1 audio.

Does anyone know what the hell the A stands for on DVDA? Well whatever it means it dont sound too bad

DimebagDarrell 03-11-2004 06:30 AM

I have finally finished my review of Sepultura - Arise if anyone wants to check it out :) forgot to get the link tho so just go look for it in the cd reviews section lol

I need your help!

Alright! I had a brainwave today at lunch! I had a great idea of what to make for an Official Avatar for us titans! I won't tell you whats gonna be on it, it'll be a surprise, but I can tell you one thing - it will be an animated .gif. Now I have a .gif maker but it's unregistered, and it leaves a big ugly symbol in the corner of any .gif I make with it. So this is why I need you. I need someone with a working .gif maker to take the images I will provide them with (i'll host them on my geocities site) and assemble them into a .gif for our clan.

Any volunteers?

Jon 03-11-2004 12:55 PM

Yes sir.

sacrifice93.2 03-11-2004 01:13 PM

That sounds awesome Dargon. Here's the thing though. How would I save a .gif image on my computer?

LordDargon 03-11-2004 01:15 PM

Good. I'll upload it when it's ready... im a busy man, so it won't be for a while now.

LordDargon 03-11-2004 01:15 PM

Sacrifice: Easy. Right click, save as. :thumb:

sacrifice93.2 03-11-2004 01:52 PM

Gotcha. Hey Dargon, how many thrash bands have you seen live before? I've seen the each band from the Big 4 of Thrash at least once.

GraveRobbersINC 03-11-2004 04:22 PM

Can I join the titans, my favorite thrash album is Kill 'Em All.
Can I join the titans, my favorite thrash album is Kill 'Em All.
