Get Out Of A Center Which Is Neither Dead Nor Alive first!

pate 11-14-2008 08:12 AM

Half of Minsk is from here. lul

That means that every record store in town has a Minsk section as big as the average Metallica section.

ATM 11-14-2008 09:37 AM

I'm doing my interview with Caltrop and Curtains of Night today.

It should be sweet, Caltrop have played with:

Can you send me that Well of Souls album?

halfdeadhippo 11-16-2008 03:25 AM

I just saw a band called Beast in the Field play with a bunch of other sort of local bands and they blew everyone else away. Like one of those things where I was unable to enjoy the other bands that played after them because they tore it up so well. It's like Sleep near the end of their reign when they were writing and playing Dopesmoker only these guys rocked a bit more. Then in the middle of their set they just busted out into Funeralopolis only i was the only one who picked up what song it was and responded appropriately. ****ing indie kids who go on and on about how much they love metal and then don't even recognize the Wizard when they hear it...!

FatalEnergy 11-17-2008 12:01 AM

I got Orthodox's first album "Gran Poder" on Vinyl today. It's epic.

Iron Bars 11-17-2008 06:41 AM

I bought a copy of the rerelease of From the 13th sun from Candlemass, with bonustracks. Second bonus track, Nimis, is one of the songs from Krux first album. Essentially the same song, too bad.

I saw a CD of him on the merch stand of a doom festival last month.
I contemplated buying it, but ended up not doing so.
But having read your review, I might still.

I've seen you posting it in the WAYLTN thread, and it caught my attention. Initially thought the SOL was an acronym and was trying to figure out why I'd not heard of that album. Will be checking it out.

Unrelated to the thread, I enjoyed the Decomposed you recommended recently as well.
