i've been listening to common's new album

i'm feeling where his detroit sound has taken him but, he lacks where dilla's mind would have taken him, and we all do so it's no regret you know?

the lyrics have this ethereal psyche vibe but i can get over that clinical thought pattern pretty easily because this isn't as experimental as the other stuff he's been criticized for

his lyrics are his own, but i really like how he is prepping them for a more mass appeal

it is part of the path of his discography but maybe in the wrong order, and you can't blame someone for that too much
