Lies. I did listen, I'm really digging your tone on the lower notes but not so much on the higher stuff. Is that a Whammy pedal I be hearing? I liked the lead guitar ideas just wished you'd expanded more in that direction. I'll have another listen tomorrow and give some more in depth crit.

I'm using the bender on my Vetta with an expression pedal. So basically yeah it's a whammy

well yer, there's the problem - the deadline for the thesis is in a week, and I've almost completed my thesis...


..on the basis that it's not working. So yeah, I've gotta do a big re-write, but gotta see how far I can get with the hardware first :(

Also that track sounds awesome, but there's something horrendously wrong with that snare compression wise

Drums aren't as punchy as I'd personally like em, the snare sounds like an 8-bit sound effect of chopping a tree down.

Bought another 7 string in case mine goes at a gig, pretty fly deal too: £250 for an RG7321 isn't bad, but it also comes with 2 swineshead venom pickups so it's pretty epic imo.

I was tracking some vocals the other day for Raayls song and I started coughing up like a mother fucker. This can't be good. I've had this fucking cough for like a month now but when I was singing it just got worse. wtf Lod.

Also new 7 string is ace. Can't believe it's taken me this long to buy an Ibanez, I've wanted one for years.

Was due yesterday. Got it in with pretty good shape, but was kinda worried about page count because the uni's guidelines aren't clear (as in, depending on where you read them, they completely contradict one another)...

Took an hour to print out one copy. \m/

And yeah, 7 string ibanez's are ace. Had mine since 2007, and I've never really wanted another guitar since.

Did I kill the 'Lod with my dissertation? :(

discovered a big problem with our result at 1AM

didn't manage to fix it

submitted at 5.15AM like a zombie

have to defend it in an interview. Not looking forward to it.

Tbh i know what you mean about 'defending' - i was using a 68k system, fuckin old processor, so rather than getting a nice, convinient arduino or pic kit and getting straight on with programming, I was forced to wire-wrap a bloody 68k and only managed to get 1 weeks programming time at the end of the project, with less than half the hardware intended. Cant say im particularly enthusiastic about defending that :p

Gice my brother lent me his acoustic to do some recording. Its an electro but it isnt picking up the low E. All the other strings are fine, but the low E wont register even on the tuner.

Anything i can try myself to sort it out?

Most electro acoustics use a piezo system, one pickup under each string. Chances are the low E one is broke.

played one of those agile 8 strings for the first time awhile ago pretty fucking sweeeet even though i wasn't able to plug into anything. i want it now. lol


also that was the first time i played guitar in like a year i kinda miss it.

anywho how is everyone else doing?
