So, it looks like I've just hit off a relationship with a girl I've been trying to get after.

Shred Danson 02-02-2006 08:21 PM

GODDAMMIT WHICH CONVERSATION ARE WE HAVING?!?!

Don't you have a lady friend, man?

Oh yeah, and keep that advice I gave you at heart. You'll need it ;)

I will. :) And you don't have to worry, I will use it strictly for my own personal pleasure.

I do, but she's 1300 miles away and I won't get to see her until the summer. Even when I go down there, I'll have maybe a day to spend with her. :(

That sucks man.
Oh, holy hell man that's far away. One of those long distance things, eh?

Yeah, very long distances. Im glad I get to talk to her so much every day, but not being able to make physical contact (non-sexual) of any kind really sucks.
Yeah, very long distances. Im glad I get to talk to her so much every day, but not being able to make physical contact (non-sexual) of any kind really sucks.
Yeah I defenitely hear ya, man. Nichole lives 50 miles away and I still know how you feel even though it's not THAT long distance. Not being able to see her is a major pain, man. I'm glad I get to spend the weekends over at her place and she'll stop by when she can during the week. But other than that, it's tough...I mean we have MSN and the phone, but I just want to see her all the time. Which is a good thing we're moving in together...

Agreed. Gaby and I are "on break"because she's having too much trouble dealing with it :-\

Though I won't say it would all be non-sexual <_<

Oh no, I was agreeing. I was just saying that my situation does differ from yours ever so slightly :p

But really sometimes what I miss most is just holding her, sleeping next to her and stuff like that. So I definitely feel the lack of non-sexual contact.

I don't think I could ever be involved in a long-distance relationship because it'd be way too hard. I give credit to anyone who can successfully do it and not go crazy, but I just know it'd be impossible for me.

Eh, never say never. Sometimes people are just so worth it that it's better than having to give them up. Few people are worth the pain and frustration, but if they are...

Plus I'll say one thing...it makes your bond a hell of a lot stronger when you're actually together.

My point is, I don't think I could handle it. Say I have a girlfriend, and her dad gets transferred to Arizona. The most logical thing that I'd think (on my perception alone, I'm not saying my perception is right) is that there's no way it'd last. We could talk on AIM or MSN, write each other snail mail, etc. but it would just be too trying. And in the rare instances where we'd see each other, it'd just be too little too late. Also, I wouldn't want her to feel obligated to someone 2,000+ miles away when she's trying to start out in a new place.

Again, anyone that can handle it, good for you, I'm glad you can. I'm just saying that I couldn't, heh.

Eh, it's a struggle. But in the grand scheme of things, if you struggle for a few months at a time (as in the case with school for us), then it's nothing really later on when you can be together for years and years. But I won't lie, it is very very hard. This summer should be totally fantastic though. It's more time than we've spent together than all the other times combined. And oddly enough, I didn't want to remain committed being her first sem away from home, she was the one who wanted it. Luckily :)
Then why are you arguing? You are definitely arguing for a christian religion. Which has a god.
I wasn't arguing. I just said I refuse to beleive that there isn't such a thing as spirituality. I said some of what I beleive comes from Christianity. Religion doesn't have to have one devine being but it does have to have some kind of way of life and belief behind it.

Why do you ask?

Dr. Jake Destructo 02-02-2006 09:43 PM

For me, I'd rather not see a girlfriend every day at school. For some reason, I really find it awkward to communicate with someone of interest whilst learning, or something. :p For me, a relationship where the girl is in a town some distance away would do me just fine.

I know you guys are talking about true long distance relationships, but I figured I might as well share what I think. :)

How was everyone's Thursday? Smashing, I can only hope.

Moses 02-02-2006 09:47 PM

Eh, well there are tradeoffs. I was talking to a kid in my class and he's like "Well at least you don't live with her, my gf doesn't let me get any homework done because she's so damn demanding." Hehe. But I'd rather be living with her than the distance.

In other news, anyone who has me on facebook can now look at some terrible pictures of me drunk thanks to my lovely friends :-\

I like seeing Sarah every day at school. I'm a jealous/insecure/attention craving type of guy. I don't know why but it's the way I am and I'll admit it.

Oh and check my message on there Jake.

Dr. Jake Destructo 02-02-2006 10:13 PM

I'm not that way for some reason. I get jealous, but I mean I haven't really had a serious enough relationship or a bad enough situation to be jealous. When my ex started rekindling stuff with her ex, I didn't get jealous...I did get pissed at first, but I realized that she wasn't worth it, so I moved on rapidly, and ended up in a much more meaningful one month relationship. :-/

Moses - I got it, and thanks for the tip. I'll definitely look next time I'm in my music store. I actually never thought a music store would have soundcards, but yeah, apparently they do. About how much are they?

I got your other message too; 19% on the download.

Moses 02-02-2006 10:18 PM

Actually the message I just sent was for the song that me and my friends made not more than 2 hours ago.

The techno song has excessive useage of the word "skeet". Everyone knows what that means right? Everyone I know, does but there are a lot of white people on here so, you know.

I'm not sure how much soundcards cost actually, I still need one for my computer.

Dr. Jake Destructo 02-02-2006 10:22 PM

Skeet is so totally 2 years ago, man.

PS: Chapelle is cheap comedy.

Moses 02-02-2006 10:25 PM

It is. Me and my friends say it alot though and is still funny to me. Dave Chappelle is one of my favorite comedians even though he's pretty much done.

No, just opened the wrong Fruity Loops kit and accidentally pressed a couple buttons and then got carried away with it.

Dr. Jake Destructo 02-02-2006 10:29 PM

That's pretty good, but I doubt anyone will ever top 307's FL songs. He has a couple that are just flat out rofl-worthy.
