I'm eating a bowl of chili now. It's okay (I should've used the stove instead of the microwave..), but it's too hot still.

Welcome, FNB.

FUNKNBASS 10-06-2004 05:52 AM

I'm so glad we get lap tops for work in the field.

Fox0r 10-06-2004 06:22 AM

What do you do?

FUNKNBASS 10-06-2004 06:26 AM

I do woodwork and carpentry, and is currently working on a house. I have to wait for a building inspector so i got time on my hands.

Fox0r 10-06-2004 06:32 AM

Anybody else (I assume Luke19 does) like to snowboard? I live in Southern California and Winter is coming!@#!#

Fox0r 10-06-2004 07:00 AM

Also, how many of you guys aren't using Internet Explorer?
I'm not!

gaslight 10-06-2004 07:06 AM

I use Internerd Explorer.

coodlebass 10-06-2004 07:07 AM

Yeh, everything is going great for the Aussies (read with L.A accent and a soft "s"). School starts next week, Exams at end of term, i got my electives back( music and food tech, mmmmm food) so it looks like everythings looking up in the coodles household.

On another note I almost died today riding down a hill on the way back from the bike shop which wont let me have a job there. :upset: . My tire popped halfway down the hill and I managed to skid to a jerky halt. Strange thing is it happend before on the same hill and I wasn't as lucky last time, getting a large gash on my knee and arm.

Note: Cancel fruit basket to "Lincoln" at the Bike shop.

Fox0r 10-06-2004 07:13 AM

He must've sabotaged you.

Firefox > Internet Explorer (Let's not have a huge debate about this, I'm only stating this in hopes of enlightening the uninformed)

Fox0r 10-06-2004 07:46 AM

:amaze: 10-06-2004 08:08 AM

Hi everyone, I'm supposed to be doing a human rights assignment right now. I hate school.

:amaze:

gaslight 10-06-2004 08:14 AM

We got a new table the other day and I managed to salvage an awesome cardboard box to carry my pedals and power board adapters etc in.

I've reinforced the joins with duct tape and I'm going to get some stickers or something for it so it doesn't look so homeless.

ocdrumandbass 10-06-2004 08:24 AM

hello everyone! i just got back from a battle of bands at a small pub in the city. we came first, which was fantastic. im pumped up now, but im going to bed, uni tomorrow :thumb:

:amaze:

Fox0r 10-06-2004 08:42 AM

Kickass, man! What part of the world are you in? Is it coming up on Winter for you? Get your parents to get you a season pass or something. :)

Do you have your own gear?

ScorpSath 10-06-2004 08:43 AM

Season passes are so bloddy exspensive.

Fox0r 10-06-2004 08:49 AM

I'm getting one for my birthday. The only local mountain near me is Big Bear and it's just okay. I wanna head out to Mammoth this year, but we'll see.

Scorp, do you snowboard?

ScorpSath 10-06-2004 08:56 AM

Yes sir, I love it but it's so exspensive. Seems all my hobbies are :p

Fox0r 10-06-2004 09:04 AM

Paintballing, too. ****ed expensive.
That's how you know they're good hobbies. :) Do you have your own gear?

Espbassor 10-06-2004 09:30 AM

Guess warhammer is a really good hobby then. You won't have money or time for years after taking that one up

gaslight 10-06-2004 09:33 AM

^ I remember Warhammer. I was so into that as a kid.

But man, it's the most expensive thing I've ever seen. On par with drug addiction.

museic 10-06-2004 09:33 AM

ah paintballing is amazing, next month my college is having a paintballing competition with a college nearby , its going to rock! but yes it is really expensive

Espbassor 10-06-2004 09:39 AM

Its my belief they lace the mini's with heroine :thumb:

nisakss 10-06-2004 09:40 AM

Good morning everyone, what's up?

Fox0r 10-06-2004 09:40 AM

lol, good point. a few of my friends play Warhammer40000 and they say **** to me like "check out my new (insert cool-sounding name here)!!"
I look at the little usually plastic though sometimes (but rarely) pewter statue and I say "Cool, what's it do?"
They start to say stuff like "Its ion hand-cannon can do piercing uber splash damage to an area with the diameter of 6 inches and it can move 24 inches per turn and..."
Then I interrupt them and ask how much it cost and they say "$30 (USD)"
- THIRTY DOLLARS?!? -
I again look at the 1 or 2 inch tall unpainted plastic model of a little man with a gun and I say "Thirty dollars?"
They nod their head, smiling at me because they got their cool new guy.

I'm really glad they're happy and all, but I wish they hadn't spent so much of their money on it. I think they should just go buy a pack of army men from the 99 cent store and paint them however they want and pretend they are leet warmhammer units.

Yeah, its all about personal tastes I guess and how well of a paint job you do. Like me, I take time to make my models look go, so it becomes more of a show case for me, since I rarely find anyone to play. Also, since I paint them so well I could probably get more then they are worth.

...but then I realise I could have my bass and head paid for if I hadn't gotten into warhammer to begin with :upset:

.....anyone want a necron army? :naughty:

gaslight 10-06-2004 09:45 AM

^ Hehe exactly hey. I understand where they are coming from though, I was just like that, it appeals to your imagination, and personally I love sci-fi, fantasy, and especially RPG's so it's just like... this miniature, contains my alternate soul :amaze:.

Originals?

Fox0r 10-06-2004 09:51 AM

Yeah, I hear what you guys are saying, but that's a LOT of money. I was thinking about doing it. I wanted the army with the super fast little alien dudes (cause they reminded me of Zerg from Starcraft) but I didn't (and still don't) have enough money.

I was thinking about it, and I might actually head to the 99 cent store today and pick up a pack of army men and give them super cool paint jobs. :) so next time my friends play, I can whip out an army and say, bring it on! :)

gaslight 10-06-2004 09:54 AM

^ Say they're super limited edition ones that you won from a White Dwarf contest.

Tyranids, yeah they are a fun army, I have one of them :thumb: Have them painted with a bluish/black on the body and black/grey on the carapace color scheme. They are wicked. I'd be willing to sell my army for a few 100 :naughty:

ShelBel 10-06-2004 09:57 AM

I just went and had to tell some punk to turn down the music he was playing on one of the computers.

"Could you turn that down please?"

"Maybe."

*smacks punk@$$ kid* (I WISH!!!!!!!)

People are trying to WORK. If you want to listen to music, I have headphones.

Brat.

gaslight 10-06-2004 09:58 AM

I wonder where all my old figures are.

I had this awesome one that came free with White Dwarf one time, it was for Mordheim, it was an elf with a big sword. I think he was called Aenar, The Sword Of Twilight, or something like that. Belongs in a bloody prog metal album with a name like that.
