Pg. 99 is so undeniable. I'm so mad at myself that I went through that weird phase in like 08-09 that I would never jam out to them.

christsimpson 01-02-2012 08:17 PM

boring band

for lyrics I'd go with I Hate Myself and The Pine

Juddybear 01-02-2012 08:19 PM

dude

witchxrapist 01-02-2012 08:20 PM

Dude, Pg. 99 is one of the best skram ever.

"can hardly move on my own. nightmares are now down to losing the lid to my cap. you're so young and you just sit there in your seat. trade me bodies now that i've become so stuck in this nest. i've become a burden to all of you. i want life. more like you i want more life. you can't call this life. put me to sleep for good. at least then i can talk and walk in heaven with my son."

oh cool, bad suicide lyrics

the pine is boring as shit, imo

Juddybear 01-02-2012 08:23 PM

i hate myself lyrics are p boss tbh

witchxrapist 01-02-2012 08:24 PM

The Pine is mediocre in every aspect, gonna be honest.

Circle Takes The Square has the best lyrics, when it isn't Drew lapsing into 17 year old pretension and angst.

12XU 01-02-2012 08:25 PM

Ihm have some of the best lyrics ever.

witchxrapist 01-02-2012 08:28 PM

Fallow fields have fallen, sallow, sallow
Victim to encryption, disclosing an unspoken plea.
And the stars sang of the scorpion sun. to impale impaling impaled who for mercy begged for drought and blight.
to impale impaling impaled.
planted in the shadow of a new found impermanence
our new pyramids fashioned in cloth and the stars sang of the
scorpion sun.
to inspire, ventilate, increase volume, expiration
ventilated deceased.
threatened by the slightest breeze
to impale impaling impaled
threatened by the slightest breeze, the winds are stirring buried under miles of a fabric fallen
hollow constellation prediction shallow flat forget-me-not
(dissertion) no goodbyes, just carbon released in wind
resting fiercely on an early afternoon facade, ash released the
stars have risen, elevated in our loss.
And the winds have risen wearing fiercely on our cloth facade
horizons grown a sickly, sickly pale
to impale impaling impaled
threatened by the slightest breeze and grown a sickly pale(insert a single method) parse a tense a perfect past(insert a single method)
and is this choking proof that clutching hasn't let me go?
we're sustained by the corpse of a fallen constellation.

song still gives me a massive huj

12XU 01-02-2012 08:29 PM

You're too intellectual, I hate that shit

Juddybear 01-02-2012 08:32 PM

same tbh

witchxrapist 01-02-2012 08:32 PM

Well I spent a good two years studying English before I got uber depressed and kept switching majors.

Sorry bros. :(
when it isn't Drew lapsing into 17 year old pretension and angst.
they are best when they are like this (all the time)

witchxrapist 01-02-2012 09:36 PM

some parts are fucking godawful

like half of a non objective portrait of karma is just like... really he was poetically ranting about vampires and now he's comparing love to congress?

xMalcolmXx 01-02-2012 10:33 PM

listening to iv for the second time right now, this is mad nice

seriously so trash talky at parts, but the good trash talk not the new hypebeast trash talk

P13 01-02-2012 11:26 PM

a wild non-elite appears!

anyone listen to The Reptilians? some good shit

@mappy
that piece of poetry is garbage. Can't fucking stand when people leave out articles for no reason and change tenses just to make shit rhyme.
I guess it's ok when ******s do it because they're uneducated

witchxrapist 01-02-2012 11:28 PM

It's Circle Takes The Square lryics, so it's written to go along with music.

I love the way Drew writes, idk.

P13 01-02-2012 11:29 PM

weak excuse
it's not garbage honestly I was just being dramatic. It's just pretentious.

but yeah what do you think of The Reptilians?

http://thereptilianband.bandcamp.com/album/full-health

witchxrapist 01-02-2012 11:34 PM

I don't see how it's a weak excuse, there's a lot of poetic license when it comes to fitting things together rhythmically.

This Reptilian's shit is cool musically, but this guy really needs to work on his screaming.

P13 01-02-2012 11:36 PM

I disagree, but whatever neither of us are ever going to convince the other

I've always liked when people scream but sound like shit, adds a layer of vulnerability

witchxrapist 01-02-2012 11:38 PM

I don't mind when a skrammer sounds weak, I just think this guy's voice could be a lot better if it was a little stronger, at the point its at right now it just sounds forced.

P13 01-02-2012 11:39 PM

isn't all screaming forced?

I mean I doubt he walks around talking to people like that all the time

witchxrapist 01-02-2012 11:44 PM

Shit, maybe that's why I've been single for so long. :(

P13 01-02-2012 11:45 PM

lol

turning point in mappy's life

witchxrapist 01-02-2012 11:46 PM

People are always telling me they can't understand me, and I'm just like ACTIVATE THE FUCKIGN BOOOOUUUURRRRRRR

Also, listening to this album, his vocals get better progressively, he probably just doesn't warm up and had phlegm in his throat at the beginning.

P13 01-02-2012 11:47 PM

I've always wanted to be in a skram band, but no one I know listens to it

been slowly getting my friends into it though

any obscure records I should get?

witchxrapist 01-02-2012 11:48 PM

Marschak - Marschak
