I'm trying to start an emo band, but everybody sucks anymore and onbody plays guitar or even listens to real emo. It sucks.

No offence, but I do rather hate it when American's complain about prices of albums. $17 is about £9, which is a bloody bargain for a RHCP double album.

I had kids try to tell me that A7X, new Less Than Jake, and Linkin Park were emo bands, among others.

It's not a horrible price, but when you're used to paying $10, it seems like a lot.

Plus, I need money for shows, and have no job, so I need to be careful with what I spend money on.

Eww, linkin park as emo is the worst mislabeling ever.

All we need is a guitarist that could do some extra vocals, im pretty much the singer. Its cool though, since i dont really need to write that many lyrics since we would all play instruments. And i need someone who can write their own stuff since im so tired of making everything in the band mione. Thats why i would prefer if somebody listened to real emo, and even some faux stuff like Finch would be okay, just as long as they know what we're going for here.

Well, at least theyre in the same league, most people here dont know that its even a form of music. Everyone in my school is so last summer (ROFL TAKING BACK SUDAY), they're all just now catching onto bands like The Starting Line and The Spill Canvas that i've known for so long,its lame.
