Dont reset unless your top artist is like The Beatles or something

Jev 09-03-2008 04:39 AM

I reset mine every day.

Aaron 09-03-2008 05:41 AM

[quote=Txus;16641929]On purpose. My taste changed so much, and I had like only metal in my top artists and they were not going down so I had to reset.

high compatibility, cool

Dimmu Burger 09-04-2008 11:43 AM

I put in the top albums add on thingy, though since I haven't been using last.fm for that long it isn't exactly reflective of my overall top albums just yet.

McP3000 09-04-2008 06:54 PM

then listen to your top albums more often

True. I'm trying to establish a presence for all of the stuff that I like before I listen to any one thing a whole lot, so this is gonna take some time.

Stormrider 09-05-2008 12:58 PM

why not just listen to what you're in the mood for?

Your charts will eventually look like your tastes more. No need to rush everytihng.

umm, the point of the conversation was that some people listen to so much music, it would be extremely hard to for their top artists to change if their music taste changes too, because of the high amount of plays.

But then again, id just change my preset to the last 3 months instead

That was obviously not the point of the conversation anymore.

McP3000 09-05-2008 01:47 PM

That's a good point, but this gives me an opportunity to sift through my whole library and listen to some stuff I haven't heard for awhile, its an adventure!

Yea that's what I did. My charts reflect my taste quite well, I think. :o

Txus 09-05-2008 05:31 PM

Your charts kick *** tbh.

Dimmu Burger 09-05-2008 06:58 PM

I'm pretty happy with my charts, though its too much variety for most people to say that they kick ***.

TBH it'd be closer to low than very low, but i turn scrobbling off when I listen to BMTH and IKTPQ types. That's a guilty pleasure, not really music I'd consider aaronesque.

tbh that's stupid. :o
Only time I turned of scrobbling was when I was listening to a band's songs over and over again before I went to try out. Or if I listen to my old band's songs, just cause I don't want us on lastfm cause I'm weird.

Your musical compatibility with ajcox1986 is: Medium

Music you have in common includes Sigur Rós, Isis, Ulver, Katatonia and Protest the Hero.

badtaste 09-06-2008 10:48 PM

Turning off scrobbling because you don't want an artist on your page is just lulzy.
