Jesu, with their 20 minute tracks, evidently didn't rack up enough plays.

And since then, I've been digging a really good video of Radiohead live on Letterman. I don't know what the song is, but I really like the performance.

To kick off this week, I've listened to a bunch of new(ish) music. Destroyer, Liars, Steve Spacek, Jimmy Edgar and the new Public Enemy album that came out last month or something. That one sucks, though. Actually, I wasn't really into any of them that much, except Spacek who I've heard before and am liking even more. The album is Space Shift, it was released a while ago, just downbeat soul stuff, nice for relaxing.

Brian Eno - Music For Films

Upon first listen, I like this a lot. I like it better than Ambient 2, and quite a bit better than the stuff of his that I find crappy (Discreet Music, My Life in the Bush With Ghosts, Fourth World Volume 1).

Zappa 03-21-2006 02:20 PM

Another first time listen:

Mojave 3 - Ask Me Tomorrow

Wonderful. Like Souvlaki-quality Slowdive, except more organic and human.

JonM 03-21-2006 02:29 PM

Ooh I didn't know you liked Mojave 3. I like Mojave 3 a lot. But do you not think they're similar to Iron & Wine?
