Hehe, by strategically re-ordering the songs from Dance of Death, I managed to convince my grandparents Iron Maiden are a band worth listening, to the point they actually plan to buy a couple of their CD's...

Nah, Janick is good and worth keeping (e.g. Blood Brothers solo like the other guy said). It's brilliant. Maiden can have one guy playing rhythm, two guys playing the same solo except 1 second apart in timing and Steve raping the bass. I love it. And it is cool when all three guitarists consecutively bend strings.

Jannick isn't anywhere near Adrian or Dave in terms of soloing, but he's got too many songwriting credits on good songs to let him go.

I have been listening to SSOASS, i ave to say im not all that impressed, im not sure if it is due to the fact that the album isnt up to maiden's normal standards or if it is because i have heard half of the songs that much anyway...

I don't know man, that's been my favorite of theirs for a while now. Oddly though, I listen to it less than the others I think.

janick does sooo much more than just look good in maiden. without him they would be totally different, and besides, he is also a great musician
