If you put that way than yes.

I always thought that most indie (especially these days) was just a replacement for pop-punk. Un-energetic/'chilled-out' music, with guitarists playing slow power chords and ripping off classic rock bands. But that opinion has only derived from listening to The Strokes, The Libertines, Keane, Maroon 5 and Kasabian.

I'd say that's a very skewed idea of it, similar to saying that all emo is Taking Back Sunday-esque pop-punk, only not so bad.

Your gonna have a hard time sleeping tonight.

Dancin' Man 12-24-2004 06:53 PM

Only 7:50 here in NY. I'm eating stuffed grape-leaves though so it's alright.

xizoesira 12-24-2004 06:53 PM

Yeah, I think I'm going to stay up and pull a 30 hour shift to get myself back on normal sleep schedule.

Bartender 12-24-2004 06:54 PM

Is anyone here Irish?

gmoneyguy 12-24-2004 06:55 PM

Screw a normal sleep schedule. I've just recently made the mistake of hammering my sleep patterns back to "normal" at my parent's behest, and it was a bad mistake at that. Just find a useful/comfortable cycle, and stick with it.

I agree, and I love being up all night, but I need to be ready for school to kick up again.

As it stands, I'm pretty much nocturnal. I wake up as the sun is setting and go to sleep after it rises.

My University sleep cycle was awesome. I was going to bed around 6-7pm, and then waking up around 2 am. All my lectures and things were in the mornings, so I was awake enough and on time enough to walk to them in a relaxed way, and had time to do things and spend time with my few friends. It was great.

That would be hard to get into for me, but it would be nice.

My current schedule is focused on playing World of Warcraft without being bothered by people.

My schedule was go to bed at 6 or 7 pm, wake up at 2 or 3 am, take Nyquil, go back to bed, wake up at 6:30, go to school. I was sick so I needed sleep and normally I can sleep 12 hour nights, no problem but being sick makes me sleep less so I needed the Nyquil. That was my schedule for about 3 weeks.

P.S> New user title.

How is it? is it anything like Diablo II?

I pretty much lost a week of lectures getting myself into it :-/ That's also partly why I'm so annoyed I've been forced out of it.

Is WoW really that good? I'm still trying to decide between that and Everquest II. Or just waiting for Fallout III, however disappointing it will eventually be.

WoW is superb. I played EQ for two years... and this game is sort of like if most of the bad aspects of EQ were taken out or fixed.

There's less focus on time sinks than EQ, in a sense. In EQ you had to spend hours to get anything done, but in WoW you can log on for just a half an hour or an hour and make some progress - but there is still enough work to be done to keep power players like me happy.
