Then slow it down, do 8th notes, or practice and play faster :)

Good thing about today = Amy
Bad things about to day = too much walking, Soundcontrol still being inept, and people on forums who get high and mighty when you mod their thread. Chuffing hell, he's a nice intelligent guy, but he has too much self righteousness, and a seeming hatred for authrotiy figures ie Moderators... :(

I'm probably gonna get a job at an arcade in a couple weeks.

actually i could do it on one string with two handed tapping
currently this is the riff;
D------1-|
A---1----|
E-1------| x5 at 160bpm in 5/4 timing
S S E (sixteenth, sixteenth, eigth)

nisakss 06-09-2005 09:59 AM

Hey all...has anyone here ever tied to play "Achilles last Stand" ???....what bass is he using it sopunds funny, as if it were an octave bass or something of the sort.....anyway, it is musch tougher than I tought.

fatbandit 06-09-2005 10:01 AM

Why not tap it on one string then?

Spaceman Spiff 06-09-2005 10:03 AM

Does no one understand how awesome working in an arcade will be???

Plus I'll be able to buy bass gear with my "hard earned" cash!

it will be an octave bass as it was jpj - probably a 12 string ocatve bass (6 pairs not 4 triples)

Yeah it sounds like that......and there's some weird chordal work there.

jaco jr 06-09-2005 10:07 AM

well its dadg tuning so i would be tapping
D-1h8h13-- and i can do it but its one hell of a stretch - and i can then get back to normal playing style quick enough for the next bit
if anyone wants the powertab i can email it to you

jaco jr 06-09-2005 10:08 AM

Thanks...I've always been like "Meh, music theory's cool and all but I think it will be a bother to learn." Now, however, I feel that if I learn it, I'll be more open to music and effectively communicate. :D

Thanks, by the way.

Oh, I got subs from a local sub shop, Santoro's Sub Villa...so good...so good. :D

I could go for some food right now, I haven't had a proper dinner yet and it's nearly 4 AM, I might check the freezer for pizza snacks.

Meh, he's like my "best friend" on MX (he and Luke19Boarder), and we text/call/talk to each other on AIM a lot. I live in Boston and he lives in Ohio, but he's here in Boston for the Berklee program I'm going to from tomorrow until Sunday, so we're hanging out every day. He's in Boston right now so we're meeting up at the train station and going to see a local show. :thumb:

Yeah, in Aus we have these things called Pizza Pockets.

It's like a bun, with pizza filling. They stay in the freezer and then I microwave them for like a minute and a half and they're perfect.

I have them right now :D.

Ah, similar to our Hot Pockets, only ours don't just come in pizza: ham and cheese, Italian sub, etc.

So unhealthy, yet so good and easy to make at the same time.
