Seriously, though guys. Lately I've been losing sleep and busting [size=2]a[/size]ss to get the deadlines done on the film's dailies and rough cuts...

Doesn't help that even though our team is cool with most of the other team, there are a few on the opposite side of the pond who, uh... seem to take this class as a competition. In our latest rough cut (our film is a slapstick comedy/B-movie parody called Term Paper of the D[size=2]a[/size]mned), one person from the other team had nothing positive or constructive to say at all, and commented "The title should have been 'Damn the Audience" as the filmmakers disregarded their viewers to pursue one 35-minute-long inside joke." We're pretty sure this is the person who tried to persuade a couple of our actors to ditch us and work on the project she's in.

As you can imagine, I'm feeling a little high-strung these days, and I'm just worried that I'm unfairly taking it out on anyone who crosses me.

The thing is, it's not supposed to be a competition. It's a class teaching students the ropes of independent filmmaking. There just happened to be two guys this year who wanted to direct. So we're having a screening of our projects next week open to the public along with other student term films and movies.

All in all, it's a great experience, if rather hectic. But the producer on the other team has been a bitch to us the whole time. Like I said, she tried to steal one of our actors. She succeeded in stealing all of the editors, leaving the director and I to do all the editing ourselves.

Her callous review of our movie today dragged our grade down. While the professor really liked it and give us 84 out of 100 possible points, the bitch gave us only 32.

As you can imagine, that really frosts me.

You should teach her a lesson.

My college search goes on. When some girl asked me where I was thinking of going, I mentioned that there was a place down in Florida, and she then told me how "cliche" I was. I was a little mad and offended that she would think I would base my entire decision on some shallow pleasure. :mad: Dammit, I have reasons.

So far, Palm Beach Atlantic and Florida State both seem to have exactly what I'm looking first. Then it's sort of expected that I'll apply to local places, like Bowling Green. PBA is my first choice at this point with FS in a close second. It won't be final until I visit these places this summer though.

The campus tours are always an interesting experience. Just be nice to the other students. Some of the recent tour groups coming through here have been incredibly rude and snooty.

The door swings both ways, too. My visit to Duke turned out to be a colossal waste of my time, primarily because of the students I met. Of course, right after that, we visited UNC, which made it to #1 on my list (although I didn't get in :-\)

I have a couple friends at Ohio schools. Eli is at Hiram, which is a hella small school, and I know a couple friends at Miami (OH) and one of my closest girl friends is at Ohio. She performs her music there alllllllllllllllllllll the time. She's really good.

It's not that bad. One thing that instantly turns me off is that it's the place to go for Ohio athletes.

OSU goes a great job of employing barely-literate thugs like Andy Katzenmoyer, Maurice Clarett, Troy Smith, and AJ Hawk (I haven't heard anything about him but he can't be that bright).

Just imagine what their football team will do next year with a higher payroll.

Yeah I think a lot of kids are like that. Of course, coming out here actually puts me closer to home, but I like that.
