What kind of music were The Firebird Band playing?

:amaze: 06-07-2005 12:43 AM

Umm ... it's kinda hard to explain. Like, they didn't have a drummer, but the lead singer (who played guitar on about half the tracks) had what appeared to be an mp3 player with all the beats on it. Then there was a girl who sang a bit, and played keys a bit. Then there was the bass player.

I'd say the band was something like !!! meets Postal Service meets the 1980's.

Not a lot is happening here either. I played with the school Jazz Band in front of my grade today and I also hurt my finger playing Basketball with some Japaneser's

I'm still waiting to invest in a Schroeder cabinet for the Mesa, but it will be WELL worth it my friend. And I know I am...

Honestly, I don't want a huge rig, so I want either the Schroeder 1212, or 21012, the a Modulus VJ4. I'd sell my regular 4 string and my 8, and the Peavey too... I'd be happy with a lite little rig like that.

blizzard 06-07-2005 01:32 AM

mmm... i would be happy with any rig at the moment.

I love Mesa's soo much i tried a Big BLock 750 with 215 and it sounded awesome even my drummer said it sounded great

Get one of those, so I cal steal it from you... I love those. Portable, light, and louder than you'd ever believe. Those are the testimonials, I'm going to actually try them out, sometime after this week, the whole Berklee thing and whatnot.

I still hope to one day have a Trace Elliot stack.

blizzard 06-07-2005 01:46 AM

The plane ticket over here would cost more than you buying the cab yourself

gaslight 06-07-2005 01:53 AM

I don't plan on picking it up myself, I figure I'd have it shipped.

Either way it would cost about $8000AUD for the stack.

Andrew Womble 06-07-2005 02:06 AM

so this is where everyone gets their post count....

BRING BACK THE EMERGENCY THREAD NOW!

I would go for Mesa stack over a Trace personally

blizzard 06-07-2005 02:30 AM

well night Casual

gaslight 06-07-2005 02:31 AM

This thread really does need to be deleted and restarted, it would probably double the speed of the site to be rid of it.

And yeah, I was looking at either a Mesa Stack or a Trace. I would like the Trace but the Mesa would be much more affordable. Decisions :(.

I don't need a stack for ages anyway, given the terrible luck I have in finding a productive band.

kilian 06-07-2005 02:54 AM

Yes it should be deleted..

I want a good combo :smoke: Or a really small stack.

gaslight 06-07-2005 03:15 AM

The only problem is people will complain about losing the post count.

I personally think I could stand to shed a few pounds in that department, so I'm all for it.

good rats 06-07-2005 03:18 AM

I don't really care if I lose posts...
I think this one should be deleted and we make a Casual Compendium 2.

gaslight 06-07-2005 03:20 AM

Exactly, I've been arguing this for AGES. I'm convinced that losing 4117 whole pages of NOTHING IMPORTANT AT ALL would be good for the site. We can always make a new Casual Compendium.

good rats 06-07-2005 03:25 AM

We should take it to the mods...

kilian 06-07-2005 03:26 AM

Yeah!
It will go so much faster.. when we had the emergency casual, it was really fast. Instead of this fat thing.

gaslight 06-07-2005 03:27 AM

I've tried bitching about it before but it never got anywhere.

I'm sure wintermute would be reasonable about it though, perhaps I just haven't caught his attention before.
