Oh well, as long as this thread contains good discussion concerning Metallica, it doesn't matter that we have the most posts in the Forums. Decent threads are hard to come by.

Just checked - 4th largest behind classic rock, the community thread and the death heads (I was away from MX for quite awhile - why did they revive the original one?)

But some spamming can build the community. There's actually a fairly good mix between spam and constructive talk in there.

I actually love the whole of the first disc. Second disc isn't so good - especially the Motorhead covers (really badly recorded)

The Skynyrd cover brought a tear to my eye. Not really, I just like saying that :p

so, for those of you that have heard the originals, how do you think the 'Tallica versions compare? I think that in most cases they do a better job.

I dont actually have the covers dics, but i do have quite a few of the covers they've done. Not much beats blasting out So What :p

The Thin Lizzie version is actually quite horrible

Thats the only one I've heard both of.


I shall report back my opinions if Diamond Head play any of the songs on Garage Inc, when I see them in February (Supporting Megadeth :D )
