I bought the new MCS album today, popped it on earlier, it's so summery! That's part of the reason I bought it, haha, it was playing in the shop and it reminded me of 2 summers ago when I Am The Movie came out and it was the soundtrack to our summer.

Anyway yeah, the new MCS isn't anything groundbreaking, but it's catchy as HELL! And Justin's voice just washes over you and stuff.... Brill :D I'm gonna try keep this CD in my player through most of the sunny weather this summer, hehe!

Bass > Guitar.

Hot > Not Hot.

Everyone is playing bass now.
I think it is just everyone in my town wants to play guitar, but isn't good enough, so they just get a bass to play root notes. I hate bassists like that.

I hate to say it, but that's what most bassists are... I don't hate that but still Bass is quite as much of a trend as guitar is these days.

Especially for pop-punk/faux pas emo kids.

I totally agree, whenever I play along on my bass to a cd, I end up adding loads of fills in all the time, just because root notes are so boring.
I don't get how people could play a full set of songs using just root notes, it is so boring. Even when I sing at the same time, I'm constantly adding fills, so I don't see that as an excuse.

Except sometimes Kif, but that isn't often. I only have him from when we were working together to get American Idiot, and we have sent each other stuff sometimes.

In other words, he's sent me quite a bit, but I've sent him 1 DVDs worth of audio and a radio rip of American Idiot when it was just played. :cool:
