Nintendo's demise began on the later years of the N64. The N64 was a second grade console in the race but it didn't have Microsoft to worry about at the time and it was a contender in being a "power house". The game's were much more versitile and it had awesome series games that PS never had. It seems like after that Nintendo went back in time 5 years with the GameCube only because the bar was simply raised too high for it to even compete. Sure Nintendo GameCube would of been really cool when Dreamcast, PS1 were still around but it was simply outmatched and a kiddy system. No one wanted to sell on a system aimed towards 10 year olds and Nintendo paid every last dime to keep Resident Evil and Capcom on the platform.
As for KOTORII any tips on the beginning of the game when you're on the Peagus. I can't remember anything except that dead lady who comes back to life.
To be fair, the N64 was much more popular than the Dreamcast I think. The Dreamcast was too short-lived, and I think a lot of the games that were out for it weren't exactly fulfilling the console's power. The N64 took gaming further with the rumble-pak and games like Goldeneye. I think the thing that has always held Nintendo back is the fact that they have always wanted to retain their retro feel. The N64 still used cartridges, and botht he N64 and Gamecube were very vibrant and colourful, and showed the company's kiddie side was still a main factor. |
Phantasy Star Online was really the only big game for Dreamcast and even that got old after a while.

Shen Mue was the biggest game for the Dreamcast I think |
Shen Mue was the biggest game for the Dreamcast I think
Not really. It was popular, but PSO was online and massive. More copies of PSO were sold than Shen Mue as well because the game couldn't be aquired used due to the fact that it came with a serial integration that logged the game to your Dreamcast. If someone wanted the game, they had to actually go out and buy it, and it was worth the investment. |
Spencer, what make/colour/sex/etc is your acoustic?
Takamine G Series Uh. Light colored front. Dark colored sides/back Yeah. It's a pretty cool guitar. |
Nice.
Question for Kif... Could you make me an avatar? Dont worry, it'll only take 10 seconds, its just two images that loop. Please? |

If a leader preaches worship to the sheep within the valley, we'll be riding in a tank that says just married.

You know, I was just thinking that.....

Sooo. Im in 2 bands now. One with adam, and one with someone from college, and people from the pub. We just had a practice, and it went pretty well. Were playing 2 songs at a pub on thursday, should be fun ( im scared :( )
Adam, you should play, but ramo said all you'll want to play is punk, etc etc.... |
Dude, I'm in three bands.
I have one Punk/Pop-Punk project going with my friends, but we have no bassist really. Another one is changing genres a lot. We've played so many different things, we have no idea what to play. We have no name, and our bassist (who was actually supposed to be in that first band I mentioned) has to move BACK to Florida, where as we live in OREGON. The third band is a Metal thing I'm doing with my stepbrother on bass, and some other guys we know. Our drummer is, like, three years younger then us, but kick *** at what he does. However, we've been having reliability issues with him lately, so... But above all, I really want to get a post-hardcore project going. Stuff like Underoath and From First To Last. IF ANYBODY HERE IS FROM THE PORTLAND, OREGON AREA (OR CLOSE ENOUGH), AND IS ALSO INTERESTED IN DOING THIS, LET ME KNOW!!! MonkeyAbuser@aol.com PLEASE send me some info. And I'd really prefer it if you were a High School student. PLEASE... SOMEBODY!!! |
We seem to be playign anything. Our drummer likes everything. One of the guitarest is more pop-punk based, one is rock/metal/emo based, singer is emo, but will sing most things. Im mainly pop-punk/punk/emo/indie, but ill play rock, within reason.
Where playing Brand new - Sic tranis gloria. And HIM ( :upset: ) Funeral of hearts. But i can live with the HIM. Next jamming session we was on about doing some MCR, Muse, and something else which i forgot. |
I dont mind playing other stuff. I wouldnt play on thursday though, I have no idea how to play the songs and in these few days I wouldnt build up the confidence to play in public
|
Yeah, i said about next saterday, next jamming session.
We just had our first session today, it went realy well, ramo got a bit over excited on the chorus of STG and kept speeding up, but it wasnt to bad. It was fun  One of our guitarest, i dunno ifs doing it perminatly, if he's not, ill get you in the band, and we can scrap the other. I know Tom (the drummer) likes punky stuff, cause we started to play longview, untill ramo shouted at us. Ha ha. Im going out, ill be back online in 2 hours or so,. |
I wouldn't mind playing in public, but with my experience with local bands, they aren't the most organised thing to do. A few of my friend's bands are kinda unorganised when it comes to what songs they should cover, lyrics and riffs for their own songs, even band names!
That's why I've kinda not been in a band, because I don't see a point in wasting like 6 months of my life by arguing with friends and jamming for 4 months. That and not many of my friends have my music taste New CKY is quite good actually |
